I had to wait in the drive-thru for over 20 minutes until my transaction was complete. With gas being over $5.00 a gallon, this is completely unacceptable!

I live in New Jersey and someone stole my social security number and used it to open a business account in Arizona at this bank, I called them 3 months ago and opened a frude case with this bnk and still they couldn't fix it or tell how and why this happened! I wouldn't recommend this bank for anyone.

Terrible location. This location makes me wanna switch banks. Depositing a check at the drive-thru was a joke. Sat there for 10 minutes and no one ever acknowledged us. I had to walk inside to get help. Walked back to the car and another 10 minutes to get the check deposited, WHY? No apology, No explanation. It would have been quicker going inside or using the ATM to deposit the check.

I gave my ID and my card with the check and she wants my account number? I have never been asked for the account number after giving my bank card and ID. This was the worst experience ever with this location. AVOID!

Opened a saving account and they gave me a credit card, someone got my information and they got a cash advance of $11 thousand dollars, and they never varied that it was me, they just gave this money out and i only had a $9 thousand dollar credit limit.tells you how much they check people that want a cash advance on a credit card and stick you with paying off the card. if i would have known this, i would never have stepped foot into this bank. to tell you the truth, i would never do business with this bank.they told me they would investigate this, and nothing was ever done.

First off I do love arizona federal credit union in general and im very happy with my account. HOWEVER there is a serious problem with the atm, not the drive thru one, its fine, but The one next to the entrance. The screen and buttons are VERY low and stick straight out instead of being angled slightly up like normal atms. There is no way to shield my pin from everyone seeing it while im bending down to see the buttons.

My pin is visible for all to see and it puts me in a vulnerable position. Even the screen is flat and can be read from across the street. I actually saw a man use it while i pulled out on van buren and was in the turn lane. I read the screen perfactly in my car! Anyone who drives by can read whatever is on that screen. It creates a dangerous opportunity for criminals to see our personal information.

Its a very poorly designed machine made for people in the 4 foot range of height. Maybe put that one IN the store and on a foot tall metal box and put a different one outside? One that has a upward angle so passer-byers cant read my screen. Maybe one of typical height too? Im writing about this as a genuine concern. Besides this poorly designed and placed atm, this branch is actually really cool and im always taken care of in a prompt and professional manner. 3 stars for the awesomeness of the bank in general, -2 for the poor design AND placement of the outside atm.

Went after a 2 year old overdraft fee on a closed account. They really needed those $35 bucks. The bank I have today waives those periodically.

Worst credit union ever. Impossible to find an open branch on a Saturday. Misinformation posted on doors of other branches saying camelback is open when it wasnt. Their website claims saturday hours at the Washington location--doors were locked at 1pm. Total joke and waste of my afternoon. Will be closing my account with them and Hughes FCU.

I've been a member of AZFCU for 26 years, and during that time, they have never let me down from a financial products perspective. We have formed a great relationship, and I'm looking forward to the next 26 years!

I don't have any major complaints. I've been a member since my teens. The wait times at the branch on 16 and southern are literally astronomical. I wish there where more branches. MOST of the the employees are kind and respectful. They've helped me build my credit! And have lead me in the right direction when vendors can offer better deals than they can!

Very friendly employees. The wait time was not too bad for a Saturday right before they closed. I've been a member for years and love AZ Federal! I would like to see more branches! One in Maricopa would be fantastic!

Not enough ATM's available. Banks have outrageous lines. The few co-op non charge places I do find here in Mesa are usually not working. I hate having to drive 22 miles if I need to go to the bank.

No one because thats the service you will get! Having to wear a cloth mask as opposed to the one given by my oncologist just down right discriminating. Plus an official Dr's note to accompany Dr. Prescribed mask. Guess these idiots know what's best for everybody's health. 15 minutes to get 5 dollars in pennies. I hope everyone who has a form of cancer leaves this ungrateful bank. I'm more at risk then you.

The conveniences of a large chain with the personal service of a small bank. I truly love AZFCU. I've converted family, friends, and my fiance. Unfortunately, they do not allow members to link with Experian like most others backs do, preventing AZFCU members from enhancing their credit scores with programs like Experian Boost. Work Fico 10 and Fico 10 T coming out, this is going to be a significant disadvantage to those of us who user AZFCU as our primary source of bill payment

I've stopped by this branch a couple of times recently. I'm not a member of the credit union, but I have had a couple of checks to cash. The building is nice, and the employees are friendly. Wait times have been minimal, even when there are many customers ahead of me. Today, there were four tellers working, and the line moved very quickly.

My only complaint is that they do charge a flat $5 fee to cash checks if you are not a member of the credit union. $5 is $5, and I hate to see it going back to the bank. The fee seems excessive, especially on smaller checks - it is what it is, though.

There's a reason this bank only has 2.5 stars overall. They used to be "okay" but out of nowhere they started adding crazy fees that come up as atm fees. Withdrawal fees that have costed me up to 800$ without notice. Not to mention how impossible it is to actually get ahold of the bank. After calling for an hour with no success trust me the last thing they want is for me to come in and give a piece of my mind. This is not nearly the first time this has happened

If I could, I would give them a -10! The service is as poor as it can get. The members have no idea of what that actually means. I have an acquaintance that works for a car dealership that informed me how members of this bank has left and joined other banks for this reason.

I don't know about anybody else that has left a bad review here.but I've been a member since 2016. So far my experiences with the bank and this location has been great! The employees have been nice to me. The guy who initially set me up with an account here was so great. I wish I could remember his name but I can't : I think they have good benefits and all. I love this bank.

January 19 is not MLK day. I have to drive 30 minutes to get to a branch only to find out they get another paid day off - thanks for telling your members about your modified schedule. Online shows closing soon, NOT CLOSED! This credit union has gone down hill fast.

I guess the bank branches are closed today and Monday for Veterans Day. They have only a few branches open on Saturdays regardless. Maybe I missed it but don't remember receiving a notice that the branches would be closed today. Monday I understand.

I've had many issues over the last couple of years, such as my employer can't make automatic deposits without using "Pop Money". but a storm manages to shut down their systems (for 24 hours), phones and all? No access to my money, deposits, payments. Then they post a message that even some of their backups were destroyed? It's scary! I have always avoided big banks but at least big banks have better, more widespread services and backups.

After 15 years as a member I have closed all of my accounts. The Superstition branch and their internal employees are insensitive and ignorant, and I tell anyone who will listen about my experience with these people and if I keep at least one person from opening an account I'll be happy. Remember that no matter how long or how much money you have spent through this bank they value none of it!

Received a "RUDE" letter from them because they wanted me to deposit more money and use the account. Attracting bees with vinegar? And this with a low 3 star rating and ongoing problems? UNBELIEVABLE! Appeared to be written by a particular person who needs to check themselves or better yet be checked by someone above them, that is if AZ Federal cares about their reputation. Guess time will tell.

This is one of the worst banks in Arizona. I have been having problems with AZ Fed for a long time, but it's always little, convenience things. This branch pushed me over the edge. Frequently you are not permitted to withdraw your money in the desired format. I've been told multiple times that they didn't have quarters. I walk to this branch in the hot sun after work to get quarters so I can do my laundry.

Today I was told I would have to order quarters. I went to the manager and said, either deal with my problem or I'd like to cancel my account and she just puts her hand out and says, "ok, I'll close your account out then." She made it super clear that my business didn't matter to them, and made no effort to resolve my problem. I will be closing my account as soon as I can get bills and direct deposit set up somewhere else.

Stay FAR away! To whomever left the response: You think it's reasonable to have to call in advance for quarters at a bank? And what if you're out? I still need to do my laundry, just because you don't have quarters and I can call ahead to ask, my problems don't just disappear.

I finally heard from a staff person first thing in the morning as promised the second time. She was very apologetic about not getting in touch with me before. I explained my concern and position on a problem I had with my account. She listened, asked me some questions and immediately corrected it. I will be staying with AFCU.

When I opened my account, I specifically checked the "no overdraft" option that would reject any transaction. The online paperwork kept unchecking the box (hmm shady). I called later and had them manually check it. Yet, things were still being allowed to go through. In April I went into the actual branch and had an actual human (much to his attempt at persuading me otherwise) set my account to reject anything, including online transactions and credit card payments.

Today I log in and find another overdraft fee. Due to a $3 membership charge I was unaware existed since I wasn't being charged it at first for some reason. So they want $35 because they allowed another transaction to go through the same day, despite it being over due to their fee (which is probably conveniently set to kick in at 4:59 pm just to allow people to possibly get too close to the $0 balance during the day). Not cool.

UPDATE - The reporting agency finally updated my report and brought me to life! AZFCU did report me deceased on 7-20-14! That being said I had to fight a bit hard to convince the agency to remove it but they did. They wouldn't allow AZFCU on the phone with me to comment, but at least they were able to listen! All fixed now. Upward and onward! AZFCU did not help get the removed at all, and in fact tried to deny that they even had anything to do with the error.

I signed up online for a checking & savings account and paid $100, I was welcomed with an email with a confirmation. The next day I get a call saying "after further review we decided not to give you an account". Well here's my review, you can stuff your bank account. USAA has offered me a checking account as well as I've had several credit cards through them. AZFCU is too good for my money so I'll go else where. I hope the whole company goes belly up! There is absolutely NO reason why I should have been denied a simple Checking account. Pathetic business!

Arizona Federal is a pretty good bank, don't listen to people that are nearly illiterate and can't spell believe or use the proper conjugation of "you are". These are things most people learn by the 5th grade, probably should take your banking advice from others. : "BELIEVE" me "YOU'RE" a valued customer at the Arizona Federal Credit Union. Great people and services.

After being totally upset after the ball had been dropped so many times by so many people at AZ Federal Credit Union. They called and working hard to correct a problem that had gone on way to long. I've gotten phone calls, follow ups and kept me informed of every thing as it happens. Thank you for your immediate attention to this problem.

After being a member since 1970 and having an outstanding loan as a line of credit but no checking account. I received a letter on 1-13-14 telling me that I must open a checking account and use a debit card 10 times a month or my membership will be canceled and my credit line closed, that is after a perfect record with this place. What a terrible way to treat a customer. I have never seen such disregard for customer service. No worry AFCU I will move my business to a place that appreciates it.
