Yessica Cabrera at Eckert is amazing! She was diligent, understanding and did an amazing job finding us the best homeowners quote this year. Shortly after finding out our previous carrier wasn't insuring any policies in Florida she quickly emailed us to notify us and got to work immediately. This place was actually recommended to me by a friend. I had to purchase insurance for my sister in law Jeanette Arroyo. We were quickly greeted. I was in a bit of a hurry so Gladice took my information and said she would call me with quotes. Later that day she called and I was very pleased with the price compared to others I have received. I honestly was not expecting such great service. Thank you to Gladice who was able to work with me and my busy schedule. I now also recommend this place like my friend. Keep up the good work!

Nubia Eckert has helped me with 3 products. New home insurance, new home flood insurance and Auto Insurance. Stay away from this insurance company! I sent written notice on the companies form to cancel on 18 August 2017 along with my new homeowners insurance because they claimed they could not cancel without proof of new insurance. Come January I get a nasty surprise from mt mortage company that they did not receive the check from Eckert and that my mortage payment would increase by $200 a month due to the fact that I had two homeowner's insurance policies in effect.
I called Eckert and they said it was not cancelled because they did not have wind rider policy. At no time did they contact me to inform me that they were missing this documentation; I checked my email and phone records. I sent the requested documentation in. In February I find out that policy is still in effect. I call back the same Agent Eddy and he claims that he did not receive documentation; again they made no attempt to contact me.
I resend requested documentation in to same email address in January 2018 and stay on phone to confirm receipt of required documents. He said he had them and would take requored actions to issue pro-rated refund check. I also received a request for property information, which appears to be annual requirement from their underwriter department. I told them that I would not provide it because I cancelled my policy.
You would figure that they would cancel my policy for not providing this information, but they kept it in effect. Come May 2018, I get a renewal packet for 2018-2019! I contact my bank to insure escrow does not pay and bank confirmed my new homeowner's insurance. I again contacted Eckert and customer service passed me to Agent Hilda and said she would return my call.
Never received call and called again following week. She said that they still had to contact my new insurance company to confirm policy is in effect. During this whole ordeal they were like all passive aggressive, saying that they were sorry and would rectify sotuation, but then they would not follow up. If it is this hard to cancel a policy, I could not imagine how hard it would be to file a claim.
I filed a complaint with the Florida Insurance Commission and posted a review on Yelp cor Florida Peninsula, which is the larger organization over Eckert, which is only the Agent. I have no idea how many other homeowners that they are playing to keep unneeded insurance coverage in effect by playing this passive aggressive game of dragging feet to cancel. Stay away from this ethically bankrupt company.
