They have very few locations. I've had them 2 years and never overdrafted my account. Well I did the other day for the first time and was charged a fee. I understand that is normal. I called to see if I could have it reversed since I never overdraft and they said they couldn't. I do understand it is my fault, but they couldn't even do a 1 time courtesy and reverse the fee.

I had Wells Fargo for 17 years and overdrafted 1 time and they said "I see you have never over drafted before, so it will be no problem reversing this as a courtesy." Add that to the fact that you can't even change your password on the Alaska app, their app is terrible, their ATM's are slow and ask you a million questions and everytime you call them, you're on the phone for 30 min plus, I would not recommend using them.

I switched to a credit union because I heard they were easier to deal with than the banks and they have less fees overall. They may have less fees, but if you mess up, they are going to make sure to stick it to you.

I love ALASKA USA, however, Eddu at the Marysville location is a NIGHTMARE. I've had issues with him multiple times! When I say I want all of the money in my account I don't mean leave $5 in there when I have to pay mortgage or daycare. Today I asked to reopen my account with another teller and he tells me I already have a savings. The f?

Not my question and not my question to YOU. Then you want to tell the teller you authorize the withdraw on my sons account like it's not in my name anyways!? All I was asking was to reopen my checking and deposit 5, none of which was addressed just a million questions about things irrelevant! I don't understand why he makes everything a battle! I didn't even go to him because of his past attitudes and encounters yet here he was in my business again.

Their customer service toll free number is a luck of the draw. Some are good (rare). Majority of the time HORRID! I honestly can say, I will be closing out my account and the bottom line, these people do not care if you do or not.

Horrible customer service! We have tried more than once to unlock our account (computer died and had credentials) and all we want is to increase our payments. Security is important but we were asked so many questions and still wasn't good enough.a bank has a right to ask questions but at how many questions (more than 3.) when all you have is a car payment? We do NOT trust their staff / process. It is almost as if they don't want us to increase our payments. Interesting.do NOT bank here!

A 5 day hold was placed on my paycheck because I remotely deposited it even though their website says to enjoy your funds in 30 min. I called to get it removed and no one would help. Who places a hold on an actual work paycheck?! Especially before Christmas. Do better Alaska USA.

Absolutely The Worst financial Institution I've encountered. Direct Deposits takes much longer than any other bank I've dealt with and I'm currently still waiting on a Refund for a lost cashier's check I purchased from my local branch. I've signed and dated The Declaration of Loss Check form and was promised a full refund within 30 days of form completion but I'm still waiting for my money in my account. No Wonder their ratings are so low. Closing my account soon and going back to B of A.

Worst banking experience that I have ever had with any banking institution anywhere. I'm reporting Alaska USA to the BBB. They treated me like a piece of shit. Somehow, I'm not sure how, I actually have to pay them 5 bucks to close my account BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN I COMPETENCE. Such a bad, horrible experience with these fucking money grabbers. Save yourself the headache and bank somewhere else.

So September 4th i had most of my financial accounts compromised, i woke up to the e-mails. i called Alaska FCU to try and put a stop to that before anything happened. well in the week that followed that phone call was ignored, and my account was overdrawn by about 1000$ due to fraudulent charges. then Alaska USA would only dispute 1 or 2 of the charges, not all of them. then they locked me out of my account. then they deleted an account i need to pay a bill to. not just the payment, the entire account link. Facebook acted more quickly in identifying the fraud and reversing the charges. and i only had to contact them once. not every day for a week. Do Not Recommend, will be switching banks as soon as this is done with. and if this is how they treat disabled veterans, i'd stay clear.

This is absolutely the worst place to get a home loan or a car loan. Been a member for 20+ years. We started the home loan process pre approved, took time off work so we can get all the paperwork in. Silence. We left multiple voice mails, email, etc.no communication at all. Two months later. Sorry we had to close your loan out because we didn't receive a paper. They do not have a clue how to process VA loans. No communication. They are incompetent and downright rude.

Worst bank ever! Their direct deposit is a joke! They say it goes in at midnight but it doesn't. My husbands payroll was set to go it today and they said there was a delay causing issues with all my bill pay accounts! This bank is more than a hassle than it's worth. Also, their app is so outdated! Will be closing my account because of this.

Horrible bank to deal with. They have bad customer service and their employees are not knowledgeable about the products that they offer. They are closed on Saturdays. They lost our checks in the mail. When I was in my branch another customer was in there saying that her checks were lost as well.

The worst banking choice in Alaska! 1) If you have direct deposit they will delay it by a few days compared to other banks. 2) If you deposit a cashiers check they will put a hold on it for several days, unlike other banks. 3) The final straw was a suspicious withdrawal of multiple thousands of dollars from my account which they authorized without my permission or even my notification. Your money is not safe with them!

This place is a joke. They will drag people along on a loan for mouths. And after they have told people that they are good on a loan. And as soon as people sell there house. They will drag it out even more. Just to tell them that they are not approved. They will put people on the streets homeless. They did it to an older couple in there 60s. If you bank or have loans with this bank. Get out well you can. They are sick people that work here. They don't care for people. They don't want to help anyone. They are just sick and twisted people.

This pathetic institution should NOT be called a bank/credit union. I left the state of Washington for temporary work. I did not forward my mail, therefore having to use electronic checks. They returned nearly all my payments, and then said they didn't! WTF? Even after I emailed the declines with my correct account number on these documents. It took about 8 hours on hold and speaking to rude employees to find out that it's time to go. The second I get back to Washington, I'm out. Learn from my mistakes.

Absolutely disgusting. I am sitting here on hold for 40 fricking minutes trying to get a dispute solved. I have not gotten my provisional credit. The representative was rude as f---. I am so tired of dealing with this. During COVID-19, there is no excuse to keep me on the line that long.

FRUAD! UNAUTHORIZED ACCOUNTS OPENED without my permission! I was a memebr of TCF bank when my account got switched to Alaska. The opened 3 accounts unbeknownst to me and an account in my child's name! They also failed to tell us about the FEES associated with these accounts. Ask questions people! Luckily I was able to catch it and I'm closing those accounts today!

This banking org. have some great rates, no doubt on that, ,b ut their way to assist you when you call in their c.s is freaking stupid, needed help to reset my online banking password, and this is how it went first you callo 1-Enter account number (that is not the same as your c.card number) did not know that 2-talk to 1st lady and giver her my info and answer 3-5 stupid security questions, and then you tell her what you need and she transfers you 3-transfer to another dept. you enter your acct # that you now got from the 1st lady, and you wait on the phone for almost 30min 4-2nd lady answer and now she wants your account that you enter when you got transfer, and have to answer her security questions again, ,, 5-after all question answer you tell her your problem and you still not in the right dept. F that, I hang up, ,,w hat a waste of fkn time

Alaska USA Credit Union is nothing special. I have been with them for nearly 15 years and they treat their "members" like a number and don't provide the true credit union experience. Good luck speaking to someone who knows what they are doing as well, through their customer service number. Every time I call I can expect to be transferred at least 4 times for any question.

Many banks and other CU's have better core values and services. I wouldn't recommend this CU and that's unfortunate because 10-15 years ago they were absolutely wonderful to work with.
