Today my co workers daughter was picked up from her home in El Sobrante at 7:30 am and was to be dropped off the Downer elementary school in Richmond, at approximately 9:20 almost 2hrs she receive at call from her daughters school that she had not been dropped off. No one contacted her from the First Student at all to let her know they were running late, Her daughter is only 4yrs old with special needs and to be on a bus for 2hrs on a min 30 min ride, is a long time.

I took us several calls before someone answered and for her to get a response where her daughter was and what was happening there excuse was it was a new driver. This is unacceptable they did not even apologies. SHUT THEM DOWN

Ever since the pandemic first student has been very Unorganized, they do not have enough drivers to keep up with the demand, my son's pick up time has been changed three times in the last five months, from 8 AM to 6 AM which is ridiculous. His bus many of times have forgotten to pick him up or say they don't have enough staff to pick him up or pick him up two hours late.

Also drop him off almost three hours after school is out for a whole week they were not able to provide a driver because their driver was on vacation. I believe that if they can't keep up with the demand that the school has they need to let someone else another Bus company take over that route. Not happy with this company at all.

One star is to much. We should be able to put Negative stars. The people in dispatch are joke. They are completely rude and lazy. I don't understand how this business is still open. It is unbelievable that these people handle other people's children's lives. Don't trust this company. How does the company not read these reviews?

Usually, if businesses care about the low reviews on Yelp, someone from that establishment comments back, even if it's an apology. I haven't seen one comment from First Student on ANY review. This tells me they have no intention or desire to fix or acknowledge their issues.

If I could I would give this place a zero drivers are always late when they want to be on and on time when they want dispatchers are rude when you call and ask for an ETA driver is not here it's 8:08 called they said they had a sub driver and she's 10 mins away which will make my child late to school I asked if that was her excuse she said yes she's a sub I don't care if she is a sub they still need to be on time

I wish I could give zero stars! I called on a friday at 3pm (they close at 4pm) to set up transportation for my eldest daughter. Her school is about 5mins driving distance and I've been taking her to school and having to rush back to take my younger daughter to her school. I have twins that go to a special program and they have different needs hence different schools and different times.

So when I called the operator was sooooo rude. I had questions, as a mother dealing with schools and buses for the first time would. She kept cutting me off and told me to ask the bus driver that would be assigned to my daughter. I could tell she was annoyed, maybe it was because she only had an hour left of work and she had to, you know do her job. RUDE. Thankfully it didn't work out and I don't have to deal with her in the near future.

These buses are filthy dirty, the drivers are constantly on their phones, they have no wheel chair lift covers on their lifts which is the law. They have no California mandated child car carriers for kids under 70 lbs. I would rather drive my kids than put them at risk.

My daughter is picked up and dropped off by First Student, a service arranged by her school. I was contacted over the summer to confirm our address and phone number for the upcoming school year, and come the first day of school it was a disaster. They had the wrong address (which is the address of a car wash, so the driver should have questioned that) and they had my phone number listed incorrectly. Needless to say she was never picked up the first day of school.

Fast forward a month into the school year and she's been picked up and dropped off by three different drivers. She's never picked up or dropped off at the same time and there is never an explanation why. Good luck calling dispatch to locate her driver, because they either are already on the phone and the line is busy or they put you on hold the second they pick up. Not to mention they are extremely rude as if I don't have the right to be concerned about where my child is!
