Then they have a 3rd party "Audit" you and try and charge thousands of dollars more unjustified. BEWARE! SCAM They got us for almost $5K and now coming for another $14K SCAMMERS - the auditors are next door to the insurance agency - they are total scammers

I was in need of a Contractors General Liability Policy before the weekend for licensing purposes. I called Gaslamp Insurance 15 minutes before they closed and spoke with their agent Jazon. I was initially skeptical because of the type of questions asked, as I felt that any agent should already know the answers to them. As the call progressed, I quickly realized that Jazon didn't want to make any assumptions about what I did and was really getting to know my business.

He wanted to make sure that the coverage he provided was a good fit for my company. Jazon understood how time sensitive this was for me and he expedited the underwriting process. He literally bound coverage and sent me my certificate and policy in less than 15 minutes, just in time for the weekend! A+++

They have issued my business insurance for three years now and they have a very reasonable price for my industry which is considered hazardous. They issue COI's within 24 hours and while the process is automated if your requester needs a modification they monitor the emails they send and respond quickly to the changes needed. This gets you the job faster and takes you out of being the middle man.

His professionalism, expertise and dedication to service helped us get out of a couple of insurance policies with another carrier and agency that was certainly not a good fit; and into one that was better suited towards our needs; aligning our company with the appropriate coverages from General Liability to Workers Compensation.

They seemed to be a good company. at first. Then they partnered with Agile. Agile, a firm out of Jersey. After almost a decade of doing business with Gaslamp, when we canceled our policy they clipped us for more than $300.00. Crooks come in all sizes and shapes. There's an old expression, "Show me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are." If you're looking for an insurance company make darn sure they aren't in bed with crooks. Highly recommend their broker JAZON with Gaslamp! I was in need of a Commercial Auto Insurance Policy with an insurance provider that has the ability to "Electronically File" Form BMC-91X; among others; with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to get a DOT # with the Department of Transportation. Apparently, NOT ALL auto carriers are able to file forms electronically! This can be problematic! JAZON quickly understood what I needed from the get go and wasted no time placing me with one of his markets that got this done! A+++

Horrible service. they take your money and YOU end up doing THEIR JOB for them. UNBELIEVABLE. still after months waiting for them to correct their mistakes and other issues. read the other reviews from people, what they are saying is true. DO NOT go with this agency.

Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews and stay away. I am not sure that I could fathom a more horrific experience. Bound the wrong policy for dad who didn't do his research, they promised to send cancellation form, then gave the runaround and eventually went dark and didn't respond. I had to go to the underwriter directly to cancel. Complete waste of time and energy. I can't believe these clowns are in business. Shocking.

Worst customer device ever! We are a new business and need a policy for a project we were bidding for and agent completed mislead us and then would not respond to any emails/calls. After less than 7 days we decided to cancel bc they could not offer what we really needed. Now we are fighting to get our $500 deposit back. Worst experience ever.

6/1/20 NO GOOD. we have had this company for our business for almost 2 years and we are very disappointed. Very suspicious things have been happening, we had paid this company for insurance the first year and then the beginning of the second year we were switched to a different carrier and when we tried to contact Gaslamp after we paid our second deposit which is ridiculous they make you pay a deposit after each renewal, we could not contact any agent with Gaslamp.

We sent numerous emails and called with no answer or reply. We sent an email telling them once we talk to an agent to see what's going on we will pay the upcoming bill, to date we still have not had a response. The third party finance company (Agile 98514) that they claim as their financial company keeps sending threatening text messages and emails but no person wants to talk and explain anything to our company.

Very fishy. We have located and secured a different insurance provider for our business. We will be canceling this provider and requesting a full refund on the recent deposit for renewal. If we do not receive the full deposit, we will seek legal action. I would not recommend

This company will be reported to the Georgia State Insurance Commissioner for fraud. They are running a shell company that sells insurance for an "undisclosed wholesaler" they cannot tell you anything about the actual company underwriting these policies and therefore have not done any due diligence on the products they are selling to unsuspecting contractors.

The Preferred Contractors Insurance Company is not rated on any insurance rating system. It is a shell for another company. It is a tangled web that could possibly be a ponzi scheme. As a contractor forced to file a claim against another, I would have sued my own insurance company for handling a claim against me this way. The representatives get upset really fast when you start asking questions. Claiming they have no obligation to pay claims, which is true if the claim isn't covered by the policy.

It isn't true when you haven't even processed the claim. Time for the plaintiff's bar to file a class action on these thieves. Contractors beware, you buy insurance to cover yourself in the event of a mishap that causes your clients damage, with this coverage, you will likely find yourself filing bankruptcy for covered claims being ignored as other reviewers have posted.

Worst insurance company a contractor could ever use! Buyer beware! I'm a general contractor and for the first time in thirty years somebody submitted a claim against my company. Knowing I was completely not liable for any of this fictitious claim I explain this to my insurance company even showing them a liability waiver. The claims outsourced to another company called Golden State who completely ignored the claim to the point where the insurance company sued me personally! And nearly got a $25,000 judgment against me. No calls were answered no emails returned how this insurance company stays in business is beyond me.

My agent recently left. Everyone else there is incompetent, not helpful and possess zero understanding of a sense of urgency. They know how to take your money, they just don't provide ANY level of service. My company will be switching carriers.

Totally incompetent company. I received a good quote in 2015 so I signed up. Told them I required certificate of insurance with an additional insured. I told them it had to be word for word or it would get rejected. Guess what? It was rejected because of lack of proper wording. This is after I sent them a copy of what was needed. A year later and time for a renewal.

It was rejected. You guessed it. The same thing, improper wording or I should really say no wording. Had to call and be an ass because of incompetent people. Well now, it's the 3rd time the renewal is due. I got the certificate of insurance. Can you guess what was wrong? That's right, nothing listed in the additional insured. I lose money when it's rejected.

So needless to say, I lost money so I will not renew because this company has incompetent people working for them. BTW, I would give a quarter star if I knew how. They don't even rate a full star.

This place is a total scam they assured me they could match a sample accord verbatim and after over 10 attempt in a weeks time told me they couldn't because I had the wrong policy. They then told me the right one would be 10 thousand dollars more. When I said this isn't going to work they kept my 600$ deposit. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Unadulterated scam artists do not use. Avoid at all costs.
