When your house burns up lots of people show up at the scene - contractors, adjusters, etc. Our decision in the first days after the fire was to call or trust no one that we didn't already know and trust. Worthless, put me off three weeks, then said "I can't deal with this right now" and hung up

I was not even given a chance to utilize their services. I called and gave a quick explanation of the situation at hand, and was interrupted with "I'm sorry, we are not able to help you at this time" and abruptly hung up on me. I had more questions, and would have liked a referral for someone who could help me, but they apparently were not interested. Not a good way to do business.

When our home burned in the middle of the night on May 30, 2015, we were just grateful that we all got out. Then it hit us.now what? We have both been trained in homeowners insurance. We're CFPs So, everyone.family, friends and our attorney said.you can do this yourself. Luckily, we have a client who is a very experienced Fire Chief. He told us to call Kevin Allen.

It was the best advice we were ever given. The claim process requires incredible expertise. They know all of the rules and understand your position and the insurance company's. It's a negotiated settlement. The insurance company is quick to send checks to settle the claim. Without their help, we would have settled for far much less than we were entitled to.

Not only did we get 30%+ more than we would have on our own, but we didn't have to do any of the work. Thankfully we recognized that we didn't have the emotional, educational or financial stamina to deal with the insurance company. This year at Thanksgiving, we'll be thankful for Kevin, Rick and Rich at our dinner table.
