The agency was founded in 1985 by Kenneth Ponelli, a lifelong Milford resident with a deep appreciation and respect for his hometown. Eric & Scott Ponelli work alongside their father, fueling the continued growth and success of the agency.

Was referred to Summit Financial Group through a family member for homeowners insurance and to bundle my car insurance. I can say the process was absolutely fantastic! Worked specifically with Scott Ponelli who was great, he gave us all the information we needed and was available at all times to assist or answer questions. Recently I began the remortgaging process from a 30 to a 15 year loan. I was unhappy with my current insurances and their cost. I was alerted to SFG by a mutual acquaintance. I emailed the company and immediately heard back from Eric Ponelli who was extremely polite and responsive. Less than 24 hours I heard back from him with full and accurate quotes.
The new insurances saved me over $1400 a year for Home, Flood, Car and Umbrella. Just flood insurance alone ERIC SAVED ME $1000. I would seriously and highly recommend this insurance agency over any of them in a heartbeat. A friend mentioned Summit saved them money on car insurance so I decided to give them a call. I was happy to speak with Eric who was very friendly and said he was the owner son ( & long time Milfordites). He was very professional and helped me save over $60 a month car insurance.
