First and worst of all, what you see on the cheatsheet of benefits is NOT what is on the contract. I found out the hard way by undergoing a procedure based on that information, being charged for it full price, only for Delta Dental to respond "we are not obliged to put accurate information on the cheatsheet. Only the contract counts". If that is not an illegal practice I do not know what is.

And the way the contracts are written means that there is always some exclusion or deductible you are not meeting. Long story short, it's actually cheaper than having this insurance.

Absolutely horrible to work with. So many unnecessary boundaries just to receive patient benefit information. Multiple references back to faxback/portal instead of just helping obtain information for patients. Portal does not show information that reps say it does, and the representative that I spoke with in particular proceeded to argue with me over what I saw on my computer screen despite providing her 3 different benefit verification numbers as proof that I had received a fax and was on the correct website.

I also offered to screen shot what I was seeing. I was patient with her, but unfortunately it seems they must train reps to try their hardest to not be of assistance. DD of WI would do best to convert to the same portal that many other delta dental states have. Such as deltadentalins.com, or dentalofficetoolkit.com. They would save costs on labor. So frustrating when you are trying to help your patient.

Compared to other Delta Dental plans, WI in particular makes it difficult to process claims and get my money reimbursed. It's ridiculous when it takes 2 months to process for a routine cleaning. Also their website is glitchy.

Do not go with delta dental insurance. it's a total ripoff., although they still managed to take out their premiums even during COVID when the offices were closed. I am trying to drop this insurance for a while now and they make it impossible to do that. Once you're in, you can't get out. I am going to make a few phone calls and write some letters.

First of all, I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Recently, I was diagnosed with double pneumonia. I can no longer go to my dentist because I cannot breath that well in the chair with my head back. I hope someone reads this who can actually help me. So far all I have come across are rude women who cannot do anything but complain. Anyone who reads this.please find a different company!

DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE! I NEED EVERYONE THAT WAS BETRAYED BY THIS COMPANY TO FILE A REPORT WITH THE YOUR STAES ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE! I was lied to by a representative of this company. I was told that I had to wait an extra year to upgrade my policy in order to get proper coverage for implants. I was promised a call back and not to worry, that the plan would be changed from the clear choice plan to the Premium plan.

Neither happened. When I called back to see what was going on, I was told that I could not change my policy or cancel. That I would have to wait another year. I have already filed a report with the Colorado Attorney Generals office as this rogue business practice constitutes CRIMINAL INSURANCE FRAUD. Now I have a filling that fell out months ago because I could only chew properly on one side of my face.

Now I cant chew properly at all. I have to settle for foods that are soft and do not provide enough nutrients to keep me healthy. I am afraid that with my now lowered intake of nutrients that my immunity is jeopardized and I have a huge increased chance of getting COVID 19! That's besides my dental suffering. These money grubbers do not care about our health at all. RUN FROM THESE CRIMINALS!

If I could rate them 0 stars, I would. I've had my daughter covered through them for over 3 years now. Never had issues until I set up for her to get her wisdom teeth removed due to them impacting the rest of her teeth this past March. My dentist's office sent all the information to Delta Dental prior to the procedure date for authorization and we all were under the impression that it was ok'ed.

My daughter had her procedure done and I paid the estimated uninsured expenses that day. In June, the Dentist's office informed me that the claim got kicked back. I called customer service and explained what was going on and that I was assured it was authorized. After the customer service representative attempted to place blame on my dentist's office, he told me to have them resubmit the claim for review. Today, I got another letter from the Dentist's office stating Delta Dental refused to pay anything and I now need to make payment arrangements to pay almost $1000 that should have been paid already by Delta Dental.

I'm a 100% permanently disabled Veteran who is unable to work on a fixed income. I'm definitely looking at terminating any business I have with Delta Dental and start spreading the word throughout the Veteran Community via numerous outlets of my experience and how it feels to me that this company has taken my money to cover my daughter and has not done so, putting myself and my family in turmoil over their negligence to provide the coverage I've paid for.

Choose another carrier and do your research before selecting them because you might end up like me with a bill out of nowhere you can't pay and damage to your credit because you put faith in an insurance carrier to cover services rendered when they were authorized.

I called in customer service regarding Dental benefits for one of my patients and the rep was so rude and nasty. She expects everything to be on the fax and every question i asked her was not on the fax and she kept getting mad and irritated. It really made me angry. Like you are doing your job and you getting mad at me, but i kept it very professional with her but she kept responding to me in a rude way. Is always Delta Dental of Arizona and New Jersey that the reps are so unprofessional and rude.

Their managers need to monitor their calls and evaluate when they trains these people because they are so rude. Is not my fault your fax doesn't provide all the information I need. Im guessing that's why they hire customer services reps, to answer all our questions. Sincerely, an annoyed provider office tired of getting mistreated by these unprofessional ghettto ladies.

Did perfectly well last year when they covered all expected claims. However, this year, they decide to cancel my coverage without informing me. This caused me to have a dental appointment that wasn't insured, and I had to pay the entire balance myself. This would be fine, but now my deductible isn't met for this year, and I'll have to pay for my appointment 6 months from now as well.
