Absolutely the worst insurance company ever! I got insurance with them through mann and Gary insurance. Several times the MVA has notified me for laps in insurance to which their never was, constantly needing an FR19 form, tried to tag a new vehicle same thing, no insurance, I was set up for auto pay, no reason for laps of insurance, then on 2/4/22 I cancelled my insurance and went with sate farm and on 2/7 they over drawled me with my bank by taking a payment after I cancelled. this company is nothing but a headache and you will spend hours with MVA trying to get them to do their jobs

Was working with this company for years. Never filed a claim and never needed them. Last year my workers comp insurance increased 4K. I asked my agent for a copy of the audit and was told the audit was virtual and just done by phone. Never received another word from my Agent or Cumberland. I shopped around and was able to save just over 3k in premium payments. Do your do diligence and look around it was worth it. Liability and van insurance your next.

Through the years I have had several insurance policies with Cumberland Mutual including renters, homeowner and auto. For the first time ever in all the years I have owned my personal residence I had to file a major homeowner's policy damage claim. Cumberland Mutual was there for me. They guided me through the experience, responded promptly, kept in touch before, during and after the repairs were completed.
While no one ever wants to have to file a claim, the process, the people and the outcome were well worth it. I highly recommend them for your insurance needs. Five star service and accountability.

Cant even process my claim. At least let me know if my case is claimable or not. Keep transferring me to different agent, and when I email, never reply back. One thing I got to say that they are very good at is collecting bill payment. Now that I thought about it, what the point of purchasing insurance for business when unexpected property damage or liability claim happen?

I was extremely pleased working with Scott, John and Mary. I have never had to deal with an insurance claim before, and everyone was extremely kind and considerate and very professional, as they helped me understand the process and how it all worked. Given the high volumes of claims they must process, especially with all the storms we have been having, recently, I was impressed how they were able to fit me in and get all the work involved with my claim done, (including the processing of the insurance check), in good timing! Thank you everyone at Cumberland Group! Sincerely, Kathryn Burtch

We had a tree fall on the garage. The next day Scott Johnson from Cumberland came and assessed the damage and followed through daily with the claim. I have never had such great service. He kept us informed by phone, mail, email every step of the way. Was very impressed with Cumberland Insurance and Scott. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you again!

I work for a local insurance agency in Washington Township that has been working with Cumberland Insurance Group for over 18 years. Everyone who works at Cumberland is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and always ready to help our agency. I am so confident with Cumberland Mutual that I use them to insure my own home. Thankfully, I have never had the misfortune to have a claim but I know if do Cumberland will be there to help me restore the damage my home.

We recently had to file a homeowner's claim and were surprised at how quickly it was resolved. The filing process was easy and their staff responded promptly and were friendly and professional. We have been with Cumberland for the last 13 years and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for affordable and dependable homeowner's insurance.

I switched to Cumberland Insurance from Allstate when I bought my house. At the time they gave me a great rate for both homeowners and car insurance. A few months before our renewal period they sent notices that if we did not have a hand railing installed on our outdoor steps to the basement they'd cancel our policy. We are the fourth owners of the house so this seemed absurd.
On top of that they wouldn't allow us to install the handrail ourselves, but told us a licensed contractor had to do it and we had to provide receipts. The next month I received a notice that my car insurance premium would be going up by $33 a month. No reason in the increase except the normal insurance company rhetoric. That was the icing on the cake for me. Needless to say, I called Allstate and now have a homeowners and car insurance policy with them.
I'm still dealing with Cumberland because they were delayed in sending cancellation policies despite several phone conversations with representatives about canceling, but still took money out of my account for car insurance and now a refund needs to be issued. One other note, Cumberland's website is awful. You can't see a copy of your policy or easily look up previous payments or statements. Avoid the headache with this company and stick to the likes of Allstate and State Farm.

If I could give Cumberland Insurance Group a zero rating I would. I've been with this company since I was 18 years old. I am now 48. Our May 2017 payment crossed in the mail with a second premium notice stating that our payment was late. and so Cumberland cancelled our insurance. Seriously? They refused to reinstate us stating that we had 1 late payment.
Today is June 7th, 2017 and I was notified by our insurance company that we have no car insurance. since June 1st!. We have 2 teenage drivers and it's against the law to boot. This company has bad ratings for a reason. Look elsewhere. They may have a good premium price but believe me - you get what you pay for.
