Absolutely useless company. My mother passed away Dec. 2021 and was working for The Mahoney Group at the time of her death. As soon as they were notified of her death and asked about her policies with them, they refused to answer questions and instead told us (her kids) "we'll call you back when we know more". After 2 months of trying to get a response from them we had to have our lawyer contact them, which resulted in The Mahoney Group emailing forms and giving absolutely no context on who needs to fill them out or anything. Tried to get clarity on it by emailing back and calling, no response and I'm sent to voicemail no matter what time I call.

It's almost like they said "we gave you the paperwork, it's out of our hands now". I don't understand how this company is still in business because it's clear that we're not the only family who's had these issues with them. I'm not the kind of person who complains or leaves a review, this is just how upset I am at how The Mahoney Group has handled my mother's death.

It genuinely feels like they do not want to help at all. My mom didn't deserve this from a company she worked her a** off for, and neither do we. I'm 26, college student, never worked for insurance a day in my life and even I know this should've been a simple process for The Mahoney Group. It's April now and all they are doing is adding more pain and hardship to our nightmare.

Very professional and responsive. I love working with the Mahoney group and our company has done so for years. I especially like the feeling of being part of a family rather than working with a corporation, but they are still extremely professional.

Terrible business. They charged double what my new rate is and when I tried to leave the service they kept ducking my calls saying I filled out the wrong information as I tried to cancel the service, it went on for months. Now they send me this ridiculous bill for the 3 months and worker men's comp. Trust the other reviews these guys are highway robbers disguised as insurance agents.

You are suffocating me and my small business. You guys offer no help and are impossible to get a hold of once you get your money. Because that's all this is about for these guys, the money they don't care about giving you the right policy to fit your business! Just noticed one of the only 5 star reviews is from Dave P, aka David Perks the insurance agent from this company, classy move. I mean you got average out all those one stars right? Hack.

The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. They spend time listening to and understanding the needs of their clients. For a large insurance agency, I have never been made to feel small or insignificant. I have always been handled very professionally. I just can't say enough good things about this agency.

Commercial Insurance - Broker did fine until it was actually time to do some work. Did not notify of audit, did not communicate with insurance or me, resulted in large additional costs. Did not offer a solution, did not care. Fired on the spot. Second worst Insurance Broker I've ever seen. UPDATE: Audit returned over $3,000 in refund. Trevor Stetch said It will be cheaper to just pay that bill ($9,000 bill with no audit).

This company has horrible customer service and everyone is always out of the office. They cancel polices and lie on why it had happened. Only to steal your money for the first premium. They back date insurance just so they can keep the majority of the money you sent them. There will be disputes and recourse for their actions. Please don't do business with them. Just check the reviews please before hand.

I am very unhappy with Mahoney's service and here is why: In the 10 years or so that I have been with Mahoney Group: Twice they added riders and added the cost to my policy and did not notify me ahead of time. I called and was told "we thought you needed them." I made numerous requests over the last 2 years to get hard copies of my policies with no replies.

I messaged them in the last several months asking why the bump in my premium. No reply. And now an arbitrary decision with no back-up policy that I cannot add and remove my daughter from my policy. I am looking for another agent.

I have paid this company for decades to be my insurer. When I try to call them for anything, they do not return their calls. When I tracked down someone, they argued I never left them a message and scolded me for not properly leaving a message. They are rude and care nothing for their customers. Terrible people.
