Our Agency was originally founded in 1945 as the John Holran Agency and in 1957 William J. Durkin joined Mr. Holran. Bill, a World War II veteran and graduate of St. Peter's College was the father of six sons. In 1964, he became the President of the Independent Agents of Bergen County and a member of the board of Valley Savings and Loan.

I am a small business owner of a roofing company that needed workman's comp and gave a deposit to the owner, Brian Durkin and 6 months after they accepted my deposit he said I still owed an extra $3,000 on top of the $6,000 I already paid. After I found the error he made with my workman's Comp agency and brought it to his attention, Brian said, " It's not my problem and you have to pay it".
As a small business owner myself, if I made a $3,000 mistake on a job, I wouldn't tell and curse out my customer and treat them with horrible disrespect that I received on the phone with him. I'm totally dissatisfied of how they are only interested in their commission and not the customer.

They are completely dishonest and take advantage of there customers, I had a policy with HANOVER HOME owners, they take your bank account information and continue billing even after you cancel. ALISON SANDUSKY cancelled my policy and continued to bill my account. I just called the Durkin Agency and first she said let me get her then magically she is ALWAYS OUT to lunch. SCAM ARTISTS. DO NOT USE THEM.
