Vanliner, rated "A+" (Superior) by A.M. Best Company, is a full-service property and casualty insurer for the moving and storage industry, doing business in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Vanliner was born out of an insurance "crisis" in the moving industry. In 1978, many movers found themselves facing wildly fluctuating premiums, indiscriminate policy cancellations, and coverage gaps among the various policies available from insurers who regarded the mover as "just another customer."
Our Commercial Fleet insurance programs are designed with businesses like yours in mind. Because we understand the transportation industry and the moving and storage business our coverages provide protection that is customized for you. We offer traditional first-dollar coverage, small and large deductible programs, as well as various alternative risk transfer programs for those seeking an innovative solution to risk management. We are committed to assisting movers and home delivery operations with the challenges they face today.
At Vanliner, our programs are tailored to meet the special needs of the owner/operator. Because we have over 30 years of experience, Vanliner can offer you exceptional insurance programs to cover your business and your future. Why do so many owner/operators trust Vanliner? If I could give this insurance company zero stars I would. They have been extremely unprofessional while handling our policies, continuing to tell us they are having issues with the computer system they are double charging us and when we call to get the numbers straightened out they don't return our calls I have currently 4 people working on these issues yet I still have to call daily to try and resolve this issue that seems to reset monthly. If you don't have to deal with this company I would definitely suggest you look elsewhere.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness Deny claims with zero explanation or supportive documents to back any liability decisions. They should be turned into the insurance commission

Very disappointed in Vanliner Insurance because when I got hurt there was no effort on their behalf to get my claim started and settled. Once I got approved, I didn't receive my weekly benefit as promised. They made the mistake of not putting my apt # on my package and then once they realized it, offered no corrective action. Would not recommend this company to ANYONE in need of protecting their employees

Not very helpful. The person who is handling my claim rarely gets back to me. When I do finally get in contact with her, she continues to just spew BS. They're also 3 almost 4 weeks late on my workers compensation. I have bills to pay and a family to feed. They say its in the mail but it comes very late. I'm very frustrated with this company and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Adjuster said that they will mail the checks out for the repair and car rental, and it's been over a week and still haven't received them. Followed up with them and they never emailed or called back. On top of it they won't agree to install OEM parts on my vehicle because the car is already used so since it's used it's ok to put remanufactured parts, I had to pay out of my own pocket for OEM parts. Worst company to deal with, their customer service is terrible. They have after hours people that aren't able to answer questions. I hope you never have to deal with this company because it's a nightmare.

I had an accident in Florida where a young man stopped in the travel lane on the interstate to allow a car stopped at the end of the entrance ramp to merge onto the interstate from a dead stand still. With traffic moving at 75 mph all I could do was lock them up. Needless to say I hit him. When the Officer showed up I told him what happened, and the kid said he wasn't stopped but was doing around 3 mph in a 75 mph zone.

The Officer gave the young man 2 citations and told me I wasn't at fault and didnt write any to me. Vanliner charged me almost 5000 dollars because they said and I quote " I wasn't in control of my vehicle".

Opened up a workmans comp insurance policy last september. Phil Chaffee was very pushy and borderline harassing. I ended up closing my account in November because I went out of business. They sent a 6k balance to collections after I was told by Phil that I was good to go. Shady business. Phil works for a brokerage brookhurst that referred me to vanliner

They avoid calls to unhappy people looking to get their truck fixed. They recommend using my own insurance? How about Vanliner have my truck fixed since you insured the North American Moving Truck that damaged my truck. Isn't that how insurance works?

Horrible company! I would rate them Zero if I could. We've been without a kitchen for over a month due to water damage and they have gone back and forth with us. Ignored our calls for days and revised our estimate after the adjuster had already sent over the cost for replacement. They are currently trying to depreciate our counter-tops and back-splash that were installed less than a year ago. Now we are going on another week with a moldy kitchen in which they refused to send someone out to treat the mold. Do NOT use this company.

My moving company had damaged my walls in my rental property upon move in. Jessica Ems was assigned to my case and let me tell you how rude, belittling, and unprofessional she is. I will never again work this company because of her. Terrible. I will also be advising my moving company to stay away from Vanliner handling their claims again.

It's been five months since Two Men and a Truck charged an exorbitant amount for their employees to smash and drop my fine furniture, antiques, and porcelain (when they weren't spending 20-40 minutes per hour smoking inside the back of the van) and all I get is no communication or lies ("I will have your claim ready to go.")

I have never encountered in my 5 decades on Planet Earth a more despicable, unsavory and conniving group of humankind than is assembled in this so-called company. In my estimation every top executive in this firm dances daily on the precipice of ethics and legality. I hope Jefferson City takes a close look at them sometime soon. Churls.

Worst experience! Contractor #Glenellynmovingandstorage hired to install dishwasher and failed to secure return line properly, causing damage to flooring and cabinets. After 3 months of games received low ball offer to fix their clients mistake! 3 estimates of work exceeding $1800.00 in repair and they offer $800.00. Home Depot buyers beware in Illinois, if you buy appliances and have it installed make sure your install is not handled by #Glenellynmovingandstorage or any company represented By #vanlinerinsurance! Had to use our own insurance and pursue legal action to get repairs done! Worst company ever! If I could give half or no star I would.

Had an accident on 12-9-16. Heard from Vanliner attorney while at the scene. Silence for 2 weeks. Never heard from adjuster Ken Arthur until I spoke to attorney 3.5 weeks after accident. Adjuster has ZERO people skills, very inept, misleading, and down right lied to me. Every time it came time for going forward, he'd wait till Friday to react. Piss poor representative on my behalf. Shame we don't have other options afforded to us.

1.0 star rating 1/6/16 First to Review Do Not purchase an appliance at any Best Buy or anyone who uses Joseph Cory Holdings/Vanliner Insurance. I purchased a high end LG Washer/Dryer. They use a middleman called Cory Holdings/Vanliner Insurance who does the Installation. Long story short the Installers forgot to Secure the hose going to the Washer and 5 months later the hose decides to pop out and three hardwood rooms in my home were flooded and Cory the middleman doesn't want to take Responsibility for it.

Despite that Geek Squad documented that they forgot to secure the hose! Now After many calls and emails to Best Buy, and Cory middleman I am left to either taking it out of my Homeowners or getting an Attorney. gee I just had a roof leak in my new home and a roof leak in my old home so I don't want to use my homeowners so my rates hike up. I will never purchase One more thing from Best Buy or anyone who uses Cory Holdings. It's bad business and unethical not to uphold your part of the business transaction. You stink.

Be very wary if your moving company has this company call you regarding damages, they are not looking to help you. I had them call me regarding an ongoing dispute with my moving company, and several damaged items. The moving company has drawn this out over a year so far. Per Vanliner Insurance "the burden of proof" is now on me regarding all damages.

As far as they're concerned the moving company is always right, and until proven otherwise the customer is a liar. The moving company I used never sent a technician to look at appliances they moved and which no longer functioned. After the moving company refused my claims Vanliner Insurance literally told me I would have to pay a third party inspector to inspect my damaged property.

They also questioned my motives for independently researching a company which had generated the damage estimate reports. I've wanted to resolve these open issues for a while now, and finally get everything settled after my move. Therefore I approached this call in an open manner. The representative quickly turned the conversation confrontational and accusatory. Be careful, they'll nitpick every word to avoid paying, and have no concern with doing the right thing.

Horrible company with poor ethics, they stole several hundred from me. First they refused to issue the payment for the repairs to my vechicle, after 21 days and 3 companys and myself calling day and night they issued the check and my car was released back to me. Then they refused to pay for the rental car I was forced to use because they would not release the payment for the damages. Mr. Ken Arthur was the worst of all of them he delayed paying and responding to constant emails and phone calls until I requested to speak to his manager and filled a complete complaint. After 9 months they finally gave me a partial payment. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
