Velco Insurance was assigned as my broker by CareFirst. My business is very small and while Tim Cook has always been pleasant on the phone - he promises much with no follow-through. I have been trying to simply add a dental policy, perhaps a vision policy as well and I have yet to have meaningful information sent to me. He promises to meet with me or call to explain/provide additional information and never does.
I began this process more than a year ago. My most recent attempts were a call on 7/31/2018 when I actually spoke with him. He was going to send me Lo/Mid/High dental plan options and never did. I called him last week (9/10/18) and his secretary obviously screened me saying that he would call me back. Still no call. My recommendation: If you're a big company with many employees you may be OK.
If you're a small company - he can't be bothered. Try to find someone else - which is very hard. As much as businesses pay for health insurance, this non-service should be a crime and CareFirst should also be held accountable!
