I spent so many hours on the phone with several insurance companies leaving each conversation with more questions than before I started. I was at my wit's end when Rosa with Dan Gilbert Insurance came to the rescue. She made everything easy for me! She also uncovered information about my new home that no one had mentioned before. Ultimately, she found us a great insurance option with excellent coverage for a reasonable price.

Have been with this company for many years for my home owners, auto, and business insurance. The initial quotes given were good, but each subsequent year, the premiums did nothing but increase. Unfortunately, even after requesting that the premiums be re-run each year, they were not. The disregard of this request finally motivated me to check elsewhere.
When I did I was pleasantly surprised as my premiums decreased significantly. Interestingly, after switching over one of my policies to another company, there was an offer to re-run. Also, there seems to be a bit of a "DMV" type attitude when calling. As a courtesy to Dan Gilbert, I brought this to his attention. I assumed that he would appreciate the insight from a customer' prospective.
His response was "You have never been happy here, and I am sorry about that". Wow Dan, I don't know of anyone in business who is "happy" to pay more for something of equivalent value.

This is not for this agent, this is for Erie in general. I got hit in Mills River by a driver insured by Erie. He chose to pull out without looking left and he totalled my vehicle. I filed on his policy and they were quick to hop on it. Erie got me a rental car, but still had to pay $150 to Enterprise for a damage waiver. They totalled my beloved pickup, so now I have to work overtime to come up with a down payment on a new one.
I have to turn the tag into the DMV then drop my insurance on my totalled vehicle. I lost two days of work I will never get back. Welcome to the word of car wrecks. Even if it's completely someone else's fault you will NEVER be made whole. Even if it's someone else's fault, be prepared to PAY OUT. It's a massive inconvenience, and there are costs that insurance does NOT pay. Don't say you weren't warned.

I got my business insurance through Dan Gilbert which was a general liability and workers comp policy. I have done business with this company for over two years, Linda Powell is my account representative. Linda is the most respectful and professional person I have ever met. If you're looking to get insurance, Linda is the person to talk to!

I put my trust into an Agent in this company, to get us insurance, and let my old insurance lapse because this company PROMISED me they'd get a better rate. Not only did they break their promise, they never even told me they couldn't get me insurance at all, went MIA for weeks and in that time my old insurance lapsed and I was left without coverage. I put my trust into Dan Gilbert Insurance and they screwed me over. Buyer beware!
