Almost 50 years ago, John and Gerry Generazio started their insurance agency from the front porch of their Northern New Jersey home. Working with one desk, a chair and the Yellow Pages, they began a business that has grown significantly since its start in 1971. Today, Generazio Associates is licensed to operate in New Jersey, California, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and a dozen other states throughout the East Coast.

I am a long time customer and Melinda Hines has been my Personal Lines Account Manager at GA for a few years now. Melinda is invaluable! Have been using Generazio Associates since I purchased my first home 5 years ago with Adam Lessign. Rich and Tami are always there to help and guide me in the right direction with my home and auto. Whenever I have a question or concern, they answer right away. If they find better coverage for me, I hear from them.

I called to get a quote for homeowners insurance. Jennifer answered. I told her my daughter referred me. She said I'll transfer you to Tammy. The phone rang and then I was disconnected. I tried to call back. Went to Jennifer's voicemail. I left my name and number and relayed I was disconnected after she transferred me. Never got a call back; over a week ago. 11/16/21 update Michele called me to apologize that my voicemail message never recorded, that's why I never received a call back.
She was able to track the call after the incident. She called until she was able to speak to me personally. I appreciated the explanation. My daughter and son-in-law use this agency and are well pleased with the service they receive. Very professional family run business. I apologize to anyone who was misled by my earlier comment. The communication problem was not on their end. They never received the message that I had been cut off. I hope to use their services in the future.

I was getting cancelled unexpectedly by my insurance company because of supposed roof issues. Hired a roofer to fix the initial "problem", then the insurance company says I needed to fix the whole roof. Melinda Hines found me 2 other insurance companies with comparable rates to the cancelled one. She found them over Labor Day weekend, when she was supposed to be off. That saved me a headache for the following week. Very kind and very professional.

I highly recommend Generazio! I use them for both car insurance and renter's insurance. Vanessa Velez is fantastic! She always reminds me when I have a payment due. I moved several times and they update my renter's insurance address with no issues. Chris Puorro handles my car insurance. Everyone is friendly, professional and prompt to reply to emails.
