The PEOPLE. or at least the lady I've been dealing with for a while is Great. Amber; is a very attentive personable agent. She has over the years and most recently in the last few days got on the phone to help me with any issues I've been having. Several times we have been faced with decisions as to stay or go to a less expensive company because of cheaper policies. More than once. we have kept with Heartland Insurance just because of our relationship with Amber.

When an issue arrises they do not answer their phones, the agent pushed off my policy to a representative of the company that doesn't even have a phone extension to reach her so everything is by email. I dont have time to sit around waiting for emails, I want an insurance company that works for me and not a company I have to work to have! Stay clear, poor business practices!

While I'm not a frequent reviewer, after such an outstanding experience and in a world of routinely poor customer service, I felt the need to let others know about Heartland Insurance (Cindy Hobein). This team was extremely responsive, made the process simple, enhanced my coverage, and reduced the associated premiums (by a significant amount/offered huge savings). If you've not considered going with a broker or are looking for the best option, Heartland Insurance is certainly worth a shot.

Kyle Mchugh came recommended to me by a friend because he was sick of me complaining about my auto rates. Ill admit i didnt go with him at first because im stubborn and would rather complain than make an active change. Only after another mutual friend got his motorcycle insured with Kyle did i decide to call him for an auto quote. He has been great from the very start and i cant wait to get my first home insured with him! Edit- kyle now insures mine and my wife's cars, my motorcycle, our house, and even my life! He even set me up with a surety bond. Still impressed!

Very rarely do I take the time to write a review but Kyle and Heartland have made my Insurance needs a billion times easier and I would scream THANK YOU on top of a mountain if I could! I called Kyle looking for business insurance and within an hour was set up and good to go. Since then, I have been slowly moving all my insurance needs over and doing so has saved me thousands.
Last month I was in an accident and totaled my vehicle, Kyle took my call right away and had the claim posted in 30 mins. If you have ever gone through an accident and had to deal with insurance companies you know how daunting this can be. What I love most about Heartland, is that they care more about my welfare than making a couple extra bucks. Not only do I have a wonderful Insurance Agent, I have a friend for life and we can all Cheers to that!

Small Business Owners - Steer clear of this agent. They will not properly maintain your policies and provide sub-par service. We were a client for 7 years with zero claims. It was an annual chore to get the agent to provide a copy of our policy or to provide copies of our insurance certificate to our bank and clients to meet our contractual obligations.
The final straw however was when we called our agent to ask a question about a line of service we might wish to add (international.) The agent was fully aware this was an exploration call -- we did not have this work and the chance we would get the work was very small. The next thing we know we get a Notice of Cancellation of Insurance. When we called the agent he was very surprised and said that an underwriter in Charlotte had made the decision because we "were thinking of doing this work!" So we called underwriter's office in Charlotte and spoke at length with the managing director who read me the notes in the file that said our agent had called them and he recommended our policy be cancelled because we were going to do this work. Unbelievable. Not only is this agent incompetent he is untruthful.

I read the other two reviews and surprised. Maybe it was that particular agent if they are even still there. Chu has done nothing but bend over backwards for me and my family. I for the first time in my life have health insurance, accident insurance, short-and long term disability insurance, renters and the best auto insurance I have ever had. Give her the info and give a little time to shop for the best policy and rate. She has made it easy for me to have a piece of mind. I know can relax knowing my daughter and GF are covered if something happened to me.
