This company is one to avoid at all costs. Recently, I was contacted by my pharmacy concerning a prescription which would cost $149 using SilverScript. They then informed me that if I used GoodRX, that same prescription was $15. GoodRX is free and SilverScript is about $500/year. Additionally, they increased my deductible from $190 to $480 without informing me. STAY AWAY FROM SILVERSCRIPT!

If I could give them a 0 stars I would. When we signed up for the Aetna Silverscript Choice PDP through the Medicare site, it showed that they were the most cost effective and that all of our drugs were on their formulary. Since the first of the year they have sent us 3 letters stating that certain drugs are not on their formulary. 2 of the drugs have been approved, but one of them they will not cover as they say its not on their formulary.
Their customer service is a joke. I have spent at least 40minutes for each of the 3 above instances trying to get things resolved. I am usually transferred at least 3 times. As soon as my year is up I will NEVER do business with any CVS company including Aetna, Silverscript and CVS. They have a reasonable monthly cost until you realize that they will not cover certain drugs.
Be aware that they will be a real pain in the butt to deal with and it will cost you way more than you think it will, due to their difficulty to deal with and them deciding certain drugs are not on the formulary.

This is a SilverScript Medicare review: as for Aetna silverscript as you Medicare prescription coverage is asking for high co pays now high monthly cost unreliable billing and the poorest customer service ever. I don't see how Medicare still has contracts with them. If your new to Medicare program look elsewhere for prescription coverage! I am now in rolling in humana Medicare plus program myself. beware of silverscript!
Just as in other reviews posted I just read this problem is wide spread off shore call center bad connection for call all bad English speaking absolutely the worst Aetna, I had their full insurance threw my employment and it was the worst coverage then too, nothing has change in that aspect in 25yrs lol. Buyer beware!

Called three times about the same situation which was supposedly fixed.mail order prescriptions kept getting cancelled. Although agents were polite there was no positive results from the 3 interactions. Finally asked for a manager but when I asked for her full name she said it was against policy to give last names! The manager took the same info I had given 2x before and said all should be fixed.we shall see! I have no confidence in them at all! My advice.keep close tabs and follow up on all meds before it's too late and you run out!

This is THE MOST EXPENSIVE drug plan I have ever had. Since I went on medicare plan D it has cost me an enormous amount for medications that were relatively inexpensive prior to joining Aetna. THE BIGGEST OVERPRICED RIPOFF FOR MEDICATION EVER! I have taken to using my Good Rx app most of the time because it is ALWAYS less expensive than going to CVS - the Aetna owned pharmacy - or any other pharmacy utilizing my insurance.

I can't WAIT to switch to another prescription plan, and thank goodness for GoodRX. When I called Customer Service to try to resolve my issue, all I got was 2 different people, from a call center in another country who read from scripts. Not helpful. And this was after being put on hold 3 times. When I was switching plans, I listed my meds, and no mention that one of them was NOT covered.
Imagine my surprise when I was told a month's supply was over $100. I think that's unacceptable. I can't change plans until October, to take effect in 2022. I went through several different plans while working in public schools; THIS is by far the worst plan I've dealt with. I hope someone reads this and decides NOT to use Silver Scripts!

I've been with Silverscript for several years and they were fine until they were taken over by Aetna this past January. Their letters in reply to you are very bad English and written by foreigners and are intelliible. They send their bill toward the end of the month and payment is due by the 1st. They take forever to post your payment and then threaten you with disenrollment. This goes on month after month. They deserve zero stars.

If I could give a negative star review I would. I had been with silverscript for at least 10 yrs. now and was never too thrilled with them but stayed with them regardless. I had an occasion to call them ( now Aetna) and talked to the rudest person ever (!). His English was extremely poor and he was very argumentative and talked over me entirely. I asked to talk to his supervisor and I was on hold for 35 minutes and eventually hung up. Why can't they hire Americans that need jobs? Seems un-American to me. In any case I am now with Aarp / program D.

I agree with the other one star reviews posted. Several times the company has sent their invoice out too late for me to return it on time. Also, Silver Script billing said they did not receive my payment in January and sent a threatening letter while I had a bank statement showing the check was cashed by them. Trying to resolve the issue I called and was told they'd send an invoice, well it did not arrive so I called again.
The first human I got through to spoke clearly but after being transferred to billing I could barely understand the person. However I did hear her make the ridiculous claim that the metrics for my state showed the postal service didn't deliver on time. The website to pay on-line had the wrong month posted for my payment. I don't trust this company with automatic withdrawals and find their prescription coverage lacking. When enrollment opens I will look for a new plan with a different Part D Insurance company.

I'll add to the list of unhappy customers. Not that it seems to have the remotest possibility of doing any good. I ordered my first Rx, only to have it inexplicably cancelled. When I finally got through to Customerdon'tCare, they had no explanation and couldn't even see the same information onscreen that I could. Meanwhile taking weeks to get needed meds.

Customer service is the worst. Call line is off shore and very difficult to work with. 2 calls with what I would consider an easy question."What coverage dates does my monthly premium cover"? Tried to speak to a manager and was disconnected the 1st time. Now on hold again. Why is there no email customer service? You either have to call (total waste of time) or mail them. Mail? Is that so people will give up?

My sister needed an override for medication she needs everyday, when not received as promised, called and was told they would send it overnight, that was a week ago, when I was with her, she called for an hour and a half only to be transferred over and over until giving up. very upset, they have no understanding or compassion, but never had a problem when they wanted me to purchase their plan. Be careful, they are not responsive to need.

Don't waste your money! This insurance pays almost nothing. For a common drug, SilverScript paid.09 cents and I paid $15 for a 90 day supply. This is typical of their so-called "coverage". On an annual basis, you will pay more in premiums plus deductible then you will get back in covered drugs. It's worse than useless. You're better off just using GoodRX.

The Customer 'Care' (joke) is dismal. The telephone queue is set up so that you can't get through to a person and when you think you're finally getting somewhere (on hold); BINGO - DISCONNECTED. I have suffered with this insurance and felt the downward spiral over the past 3 yrs. Now they are part of AETNA PartD? The other trick they pull is THEY CHANGE YOUR PLAN'S FORMULARY AFTER OPEN ENROLLMENT - That's right.
You renew under one set of rules and then they change it right after OE so you are stuck for another year. I ended up driving 30 miles to get my eye drops and paying $141 for a 90-day supply. That was my COPAY.

Think of the very worst customer service you have ever received. I guarantee Silver Script is twice that bad. I am responsible for care of my elderly mother. Silver Script sent her a letter dated 11-24 that cancelled coverage effective 11-30 because her address changed when she moved into assisted living. She has life saving medication Silver Script has already refused to reimburse. Is this even legal?
The letter says coverage can be reinstated by calling an 800 number. I have called Silver Script 8 times so far and have been on hold almost 6 hours total. Here is what has happened 7 out of the 8 calls. A person obviously in a call center in India answers the phone. Usually that person will have a thick accent and will be difficult to understand.
I have had to spell my Mom's name and provide her information as many as 6 times in one call because the rep literally could not understand English. Lots of time the rep will say the account cannot be found and will try to hang up. If that doesn't happen they will tell me I need to be transferred to a licensed department. I will be on hold for that department 45 minutes, at which time the call will drop or I will be transferred back to India where the process will start all over.
This morning I set the alarm for 4 am local time so I could begin calling again. Finally I reached a person who spoke English! Must be nighttime in India. Anyway she was actually very nice and tried to help me. Unfortunately the department that can solve my problem doesn't open for another hour. Maybe you are thinking Silver Script has good prices and that you know how to navigate difficult customer service situations.
I actually managed an insurance contact center for many years, and I know every trick in the book to get someone to call me, to escalate a call, etc. I haven't been able to crack this organization. I'm beginning to think this is all a scam devised to get me to pay the prescriptions for December so they don't have to. Well almost time to start watching my life leak away while I wait on hold for Silver Script.
Thanks for listening. PS: if you call the 800 number for re-enrollment the phone is picked up right away and you can talk to an American who will be sweet as pie. Hm. Wonder why that is?

Abusive, incompetent. Their treatment of my mother borders on elder abuse. They have been 100% unable to get her number right in their system after three calls. She has been trying to get her prescriptions converted to being sent by mail for a month, and quite literally nothing has been done right. At this point, of her 11 prescriptions, they only know about four and are trying to force her to take a 30 day and a 90 day delivery, when she only needs a 90 day. RUN, do not walk, from this company.
Complete incompetence. When I got tired of their abuse and asked her for the phone, they HUNG UP ON ME. I shouldn't be surprised, this is an American company in health care and Americans don't know the first thing about health care, let alone customer service and process engineering (at one time, the U.S. excelled in all three areas, Silverscript is an example of how far the United States has fallen culturally and in all other areas).

I am new to Silver Script and was skeptical. My first "issue" was very pleasant. I use a sleep med and they paid for it (it cost me a lot less than with Anthem). It is generic. They sent me a letter saying the drug is "not on our list of covered drugs." I could only have for 90 days. The drug is the most widely used sleep drug in the world. The letter they sent was not very intelligible, but after reading it twice I called them.
That was a relief. The call center was in Minn. not the Philippines or India. The agent I dealt with could not have been more helpful. She told me how to get an 'exception' so I can continue my decades use of the drug. My primary care doctor had a wonderful person who knew just how to handle that and in 90 minutes I got approval. I surmise that Silver Script simply wants more documentation in their file to support my use of the sleep drug.
Once they got it they approved its use. Without meaning to brag I am used to complicated letters and complicated procedures. Silver Scrip would have received five stars if their initial letter was in plain language. Its purpose may have been to intimidate an insured into placidly accepting their initial position. But for the letter they were very responsive and helpful. A call center in Minn. impresses me with all of the off-shore methods companies use to save money and not give good service. Conclusion: So far Silver Script is just fine.
