Specialty Insurance Managers, Inc. was organized in 1976 to transact insurance on both an admitted and non-admitted surplus lines basis. The aim of Specialty is to provide retail producers with assistance in placing difficult or unusual insurance risks which their in-house markets are unable or unwilling to cover.
Specialty operates in some instances as a managing general agency with complete underwriting, pricing and policy issuance authority. In other cases, we are strictly a broker, providing access to markets otherwise unavailable to the producer.
