Pemco is not the company that they used to be. I have been a customer for 35 years. They just Sent me a letter in the mail that said that they are dropping my coverage because of claim frequency. No phone call to let us know that your claim frequency might put you in jeopardy of losing your policy.no just a very unprofessional and cold letter saying your coverage is now dropped. Reached out to them and they said they didn't have my phone number.

Of course they've had my phone number! I've had this phone number for 20 years and they've contacted me about claims so that is baloney. All these claims are not my fault and many are fender benders and uninsured drivers. The last being someone who hit my car while it was parked during my brothers funeral. This is not the same Pemco of 20 years ago.

Great Insurance company. I've been with Pemco for over 10 years and it's a great insurance company to be apart of. The rates are great the customer service is always great. Even if a have a random question they're always ready and willing to help. I would always highly recommend this company for any insurance needs. If you need auto insurance, home insurance or any insurance you need I highly recommend them. I couldn't imagine using any other insurance company.

I have had my home and auto insurance thru PEMCO for years. The few car insurance claims I've had were resolved quickly and efficiently. They have great rates, partly because they don't insure new drivers or drivers with multiple recent tickets or accidents. I'd recommend PEMCO to anyone who can qualify.

This Pemco Insurance Company is the worst when it comes to claim for an accident. One of their customers hit her car directly on to our shop's door on 04/19/22. Until now 3 weeks they don't want to do anything about it. Judy Gray is the adjuster for this claim and she didn't do anything. It is always hard to call her, leave messages without response and when we finally reached her, she talked so mean, even told us to claim on our own insurance.

Sorry Judy I am not crazy. It is your customers 100% fault. I will not claim my insurance for paying deductible & making my insurance bill go up. Your customers pay for their insurance so you guys should take care of the issue & accident they made. Don't just sit there and told the victims to do the work, fixing everything by ourselves and send you the bills.

And even said that you just pay back a very small part of the bill. Are you really kidding? Your customers made mistakes and you didn't want to pay for the damage 100%. Not even do anything? Very very bad insurance company I have ever known. Bad Adjuster - Judy Gray I have ever known. People should consider when they go with this company. All they want is people to pay them, not pay for the accident customers make. Ridiculous. Bad bad bad

Pemco Insurance has been awesome. I have been with them for 6 months. So far so good. They were the cheapest and best rate for my Home, Auto, Boat and RV Insurance. They have great customer service and a website that is very easy to use. I've yet to file a Claim with them and when I do, this will tell me if they are true to their word and process the Claim as they should. Time will tell but so far I have been very happy with PEMCO insurance.

I have had my homeowners and rental properties insured there for many years. I moved my auto coverage from PEMCO a few years ago as i got a hugely lower premium. However, i recently was hit by a PEMCO insured was a total loss. in all my live, i have never had such terrible experience with any company or any business than what i experienced at PEMCO.

No one is ever at their desk and voice message will respond in 24 hours. Never happened. And for the process in getting a settlement it was a total "goat rope". What they tried to get away with paying me should be a crime in it's self. I am in process of submitting a formal complaint to Olympia Attorney General.

I am very happy to have switched to PEMCO. So much easier and less complicated than the other insurance I had. My agent, Rachel Combs, is a fantastic person to help me anytime I call or e-mail.

We have been with Pemco for 30+ years. We currently have 9 policies with them but have had as many as 11 at one time. We pay them a small fortune each year in premiums. We have always been pretty happy up until now but the true test of an insurance company comes when you have a claim. We had an ice dam this winter during a period of severe weather and it caused a roofing issue and steady leak inside a wall for some time that we were unaware of until my wife was vacuuming and felt wet carpet.

As I investigated, I found that the sheetrock was wet and when I cut it away found some pretty extensive damage. We have a $1000 deductible and chose to file a claim after having a trusted roofing company look at the problem and temporarily fix it. This was back in Dec and here it is almost April and the Pemco adjuster is really giving us the runaround and saying it's mostly a maintenance issue. I'm not sure what a healthcare worker taking care of covid patients is supposed to do in the middle of the winter to "maintenance" the outside of their home against rain, wind, and freezing temperatures to prevent an ice dam.

So the short story is that now Pemco had a roofer from Portland come up and look and I'm sure he also will side with Pemco and not want to pay to have the damage repaired because it's our fault. We've already had to hire a construction company on our own, out of pocket, to fix the damage as we are nearing 4 months of our living room being torn up.

We will certainly be writing to the President of Pemco and the state Insurance Commissioners office. We will also be shopping for a new insurance company to move our polices (9) to. My advice as a longtime customer of Pemco is that they aren't the insurance company they once were and do not do business with them. They are happy to take your money for insurance premiums but refuse to pay when you actually need them.

Bragging rights confirmed; Yes Indeed, insured by best and treated like a guest. I've been a policy holder for well over 2 decades, if it's insurable they'll cover it. PEMCO is selective on their risk assessment which keeps my policy costs low and competitive.

In reference to the local and online service. So far, our experience has been easy and efficient. (They also offered the best value compared to other companies.) The team is an email or phone call away and they respond quickly. Paying online was a breeze. The site is simple and attractive to navigate, the payment process was quick. I pay all bills online, and this was one of the best and fastest online experiences ever!

I have been with Pemco for 18 years for auto, home and umbrella policies. I have had a couple of minor claims - broken windshield, dented fender (parking lot incident) that were handled promptly and satisfactorily and without any change of premiums. My only complaint is that they raised my auto insurance rate because, they said, they were no longer allowed to use credit score in determining the rate.

First off, credit score is a pretty bogus indicator for the likelihood of claims. The lack of that information is irrelevant. Second, from the news reports that I have read, the State had not, in fact, required insurance companies to stop using credit score as an indicator, although it was being discussed. In researching other companies (I was offered a slightly lower rate by one of them) I find a lot of complaints.

That is expected since most people, like me, do not write reviews unless they are dissatisfied with something. As far as I can tell, Pemco is no worse than any other insurance company and a lot better than some.

At Pemco I was able to get the absolute best price out of 4 other insurance companies I got quotes for. In addition to that, my rep was extremely knowledgeable and made the process for buying new insurance simple and painless. Highly recommend!

If I could give one star I would. They pride themselves on not covering accidents when their insured are at fault. Jennifer Menendez is the most vile, rude and combative adjuster I've ever dealt with. She threatened to deny my claim out of anger and then she did deny it. She will be getting reported to her management, BBB and insurance commission. Please understand if you are hit by a Pemco insured driver you are screwed, avoid at all costs.

Really disappointing. Longtime customer. Filed a claim, reimbursed less than expected, and then they cancelled my policy. Seems they're all about the money. Go anywhere else.

I'm appalled by the conduct of the multiple Pemco employees I've been dealing with. It's been 1 year 9 months since I was hit by an uninsured motorist while stopped at a stop sign. The abandoned my car at the repair shop where it was taken apart. The shop was going to put a lein on it so PEMCO (after I contacted them) towed it and abandoned it in my driveway.

This was after they insisted it was intact and I explained that if it wasn't my HOA would fine me daily. Because my car is rare and there are only 2 compareable vehicles nationwide, they are fighting me tooth and nail over the cost of the claim. The comp cars are for sale for 15k and 14k, their offer to me is about 4k with no explination. They're not only bad insurance agents, they're bad people.

Throughout all of this, they invented a story that involved the other driver losing a child/pregnancy in the accident. For that reason they said they weren't going to pay out because in their minds it changed the fault of the accident to have been my own. When I explained that although that's unfortunate, it doesn't change the covereage to my car, they would only repeat that "she lost a child!" over and over with an occational mention that I will be liable and will have to go to court over it at which point I will need to pay damages to her out of pocket.

They hung up on me countless times when I disagreed and asked them to explain their reasoning, provide proof for what they were saying, or show where it describes this exclusion in my policy. At some point during a several month period without contact, I learned that they "closed" the claim. I had to explain the criminal nature of their actions to a supervisor before they agreed to continue with the claim.

Their lies have included inventing that the other driver had lost a pregnancy in the accident, that my car was already taken apart/totaled before I DROVE IT to the shop, denying statements made to me which I have recorded, and insisting they never got emails I've sent AFTER they've replied to them! For anyone considering becoming a customer - BEWARE!

The rates are super low at first to draw you in, but they raise them constantly and for no reason at all! You'll only get a year at best for the price they quote you. But none of that matters when they refuse to pay out on a claim. I've only had to deal with them covering the cost of my own car, I can't imagine how much worse it could get paying out-of-pocket for another persons claim if you were actually at fault, but you'll be doing just that because there's no way Pemco is going to pay out!

If I could give a zero, I would. PEMCO: WORST INSURANCE COMPANY! I have had PEMCO for over 30 years covering my Home (full replacement policy), 2 Automobiles, and Motorhome, I've never been more upset than this year! 2010: When the valve under the upstairs toilet failed while I was at work, flooding the bathroom, hallway, living room and seeping downstairs, PEMCO threatened to raise my rates if I filed the claim.

I paid out of pocket for repairs. 2011; when my teenage daughter's inexpensive car was stolen from a shopping mall, PEMCO threatened to raise my rates if I filed a claim for the property inside the car (college books, laptop, .) or the car. I cowered and did not file the claim. 6 months later the car was recovered, totally trashed. 2020:, I called PEMCO asking if a crack running down my driveway was covered, and if not could they provide the name of anyone who could do a minor repair.

The crack was not covered and they couldn't provide any help with finding someone to repair the crack. I repaired it myself. 2021: It's time for my policy to be renewed. PEMCO Accepted annual payment from my Escrow company. PEMCO then sent me a threatening letter FALSELY stating the pavement was raised over 2" in height and was a trip risk and if I do not provide proof of repair to the driveway that my policy will be cancelled.

I asked them to provide proof the crack was a hazard. they could not. I sent before and after photos of the crack and repair. along with the photos was my "PEMCO, YOU'RE FIRED, " notification. PEMCO, You obviously didn't appreciate my premiums. BYE, BYE PEMCO

Long time PEMCO customer with very limited claims experience. However, a tree managed to crush my well house recently and I had the lovely experience of working with Will Meeks as the PEMCO claims adjuster. Pleasant, understanding, speedy and completely fair in his dealings. He is a reminder why I have stayed and will continue to stay with PEMCO. Great company.

Had a tree branch fall through my roof. Made a claim to PEMCO, who sent their own roofer to do an inspection. The guy didnt even go on both sides of the roof, said there was no damage, which was under a mass of pine needles blown over roof by storm, and said I just didnt maintain my roof. Yes, the roof is old but it wasnt leaking. Why replace a working roof? PEMCO said the roof was too old and DROPPED my policy.

They only gave me two months to find another company, and all roofers are out months here. It will take 4 or 5 months to have a new roof, and no other companies will take me until its fixed! This mean without insurance my lender will forclose. To top it off, even though they said there was no damage (which was the same as calling me a liar) they siad they would pay for half the roof and wrote me a puny check BEFORE I agreed!

I had wanted to get a better roofers opinion, which is my legal right. I have the proof now that their inspector was inept. They tell me even with a complete new roof if I paid for it---they would still drop me for the claim. I may actually lose my house over this.

I was happy with PEMCO until we made the decision to leave. They had jacked up our rate and Safeco offered us almost $50 less a month for the same coverage. Going to leave PEMCO and I get slapped with a $320 bill! Turns out, there was a "glitch" in their system and it started billing a month behind. Just to start up with a new insurance agency I'm out nearly $800. They say it's for customer convenience-- I say they are just trying to make it harder to leave. Supervisors don't even bother calling back.

I've had PEMCO insurance for 30 plus years. I had a house flood in Oct. The agent came and said the water was from the outside and therefore not covered (rarely does insurance cover water from outside unless you have a special rider). She also said that possibly my washing machine rain was clogged. In other words, speculation without consulting a plumber. This works for the benefit of Pemco, but is not an objective way of assessing a complex flooding problem.

Great customer service but latest price increases have forced me to change companies. I annually compare costs among 5-7 companies and PEMCO has always been either the cheapest or competitive enough to not warrant a change. Quite the difference this year. They were the most expensive of all the companies I compared. Not just a little more expensive either.for virtually the same coverages I saved about $800($1705 vs $2498) on my combined 2 cars and home annually. Flo definitely came through for me. When I questioned PEMCO on their rates I got the it is what it is type response. That kind of savings warrants changing even if it isn't renewal time.

Pemco Insurance Company agreed to cover my claim after their insured hit me. I was not at fault. They have refused to take care of the loss in value that my vehicle sustained, that occurred through no fault of my own. This is now forcing me to use the legal system, attorneys and more of my time to get this company to do what they are legally bound to do without hassle.

After giving them a diminished value report from a licensed appraiser in the state of Oregon, they sent us a low ball offer without using the same standards that our licensed appraiser used. We informed them that we wouldn't accept such a low offer and they have not responded to us since and that was November 30, 2020. Overall they are very unprofessional and I would not recommend this company to anyone that I know.

I wish I could give them Zero start. The worst insurance company. I've signed up with them over a year ago at rate of $136 a month. I bought new car in June and my insurance was exposed to expire in Sept. I've specifically told the insurance agent once my 1 year is up. I'm leaving them b/c the insurance is high. Once, my insurance expired they automatically renewed my insurance without my consent.

Three month later I go thru my bank statement they've actually not only renewed my policy without my knowledge but they double my insurance and I have perfect driving record. How do you justify 100% price increase for no reason and without my consent? I went from paying $136 to $250 per/month. REPORTING THIS COMPANY FOR FRAUDULENT! The worst customer service to top it off.

Horrible experience! I've been with Pemco since 1999. Raised my rates because I decided to get a new credit card. They refused to provide any evidence when I asked for proof of this adverse action. Very poor service especially during covid 19 when most folks aren't using their cars very much.

10/31 I HATE, HATE, HATE PEMCO. Don't expect them to be on your side for any reason when it comes to claims. Pay tons of money, but when you have an uninsured situation, you're on your own. RUN AWAY! You've been warned. Money-mongers. It used to be that Pemco was good for customer service and claims. I've been with Pemco for a long time (leaving once and coming back), but I guess times are tough today for everyone.

I remember way back when I would have very few problems with claims. I've been hit by 2 un/underinsured drivers this year and both times I've felt very undervalued as a customer. No tickets, no at-fault accidents, good credit for as long as I can remember. I just feel like they've become penny pinching and focused on the dollar. I was hit by an Allstate insured recently too.

Everything was so cut and dry. Even cut and dry cases at Pemco feel like long drawn out processes. I don't know, it may be time to shop around. PS. Reading all the reviews below is really worrisome. It is definitely time to shop around.

Honestly, I'm not even sure they deserve a 1 Star. My fence was hit by one of their insured. Somehow, they thought I was going after personal injury claim (which I was NOT). This is when the deceit, lies, and manipulation started. I have recordings, emails to substantiate my claims. Even after requesting that they not contact my vendors, I had cut name out of estimate, they went ahead to contact them at least two times without my permission.

I only wanted to be reimbursed for the damage caused by their driver. In summary they will do or say anything to lower or get rid of claim They do not care if you tell them that you just want to be reimbursed. They think of themselves as a big company, but have way outdated practices of communication and payment methods. They need to train their people to treat others how they would want to be treated not deceive and manipulate.

I wish you luck if you have an encounter with them. John B- my issue with Pemco is about the lies, manipulation, and deception the claims adjusters use. No one would want to be treated the way that I have been treated, like I was the one who caused the accident. It wasn't until i reached out to upper management that I am now to expect payment.

I understand that people may try to take advantage of an insurance claim. However, if Pemco adjusters approach claims expecting this outcome, they will get it. An apology or acknowledgement of the bad treatment I received would go a very long ways. "Treat others how you want to be treated." I am confident that the adjusters would not want their Dr, accountant, or contractor to treat them as they treated me.
