A Homeowners Insurance policy covers several things: damage to the home and the owner's belongings, certain legal claims against the owner for which he may be liable, and limited coverage of people who are injured on the owner's property. This package policy typically provides coverage options for a broad variety of risks on the home; however, some risks, such as earthquake and flood, are excluded. The policy also does not cover land. If you own a townhouse, you may need to purchase a Condominium policy.
A Condominium or Unit-Owners Policy is similar to a Homeowners Policy. It's a package policy including coverage for your condo, its contents and loss of use. The policy has liability coverage for unintentional acts that cause bodily injury. Even though it may be called "all risk, " some risks are excluded (earthquake and flood, for example), and the policy doesn't cover land.
Landlord Insurance, also known as a Dwelling Fire Policy, covers you from losses or injuries related to a property you own and rent out. Covered losses include damage to the building's structure, loss of use, loss of rental income, and more. Landlord insurance is similar to a homeowners insurance policy with the biggest difference being that it is for those who own a home or property and use it for rental purposes.

Total Scam: Home built in 2016 - Purchased in 2020. Premium was roughly $1,500 for the first 2yrs. Just got our renewal for year 3, price doubled literally to $3,000. Zero claims with them, zero claims ever with anyone, nothing changed at all on our policy, just a double whammy for no reason. Total bait and switch to get you in cheap. Bad business, amateur con, rope-a-dope scheme. Go elsewhere.

1 star is because there is literally no way for homeowners/consumers to contact them. They don't list a phone number for anything but claims. They ignore messages sent through their website form (been waiting 9 days now). Tried to message on Twitter but their account cannot be messaged. I guess that's one way to save some money on customer service costs. :(

If you are in the market for new homeowners, renters or ANY insurance do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Bankers Insurance Group! I have been calling them for almost a month with no call back. I've been sending text messages and emailing with no response. Everyone I know that had damage from Hurricane Ida has either started home repairs or have completed them bc they have competent, efficient and reliable insurance. Meanwhile I can't get a call back. I've been a customer for over 10 years and never filed a claim until now. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!

Horrible company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY. They sent an adjuster out after I received the report back. I contracted them informing them that the adjusters report was incorrect. Their adjuster had all my ceiling height 2ft shorter and was missing a rooms on the report and other damages. I was told by them not to worry about it that they would pay off my contractor's bid.
When I submitted that they said it was so much higher then their first adjusters they would have to sent another adjuster. He also missing damages. I have not been able to get anyone to respond to email or call me back. It has been 5 months no response. I have been trying to get my house repaired now for 1 year. I call and email every week and NOTHING AND NO ONE RESPONDS BACK. And I still don't have all the money to fix my house! THEY WILL LIE TO YOU. I will be filing a complaint with the State Insurance Commissioner

My home had busted pipe and water damage during the Texas ice storm on February 2020. I had a home owners insurance policy with the company so I contacted them. After the adjuster came they provided a very low quote. After I sent over the quote from an independent 3rd party, they prompted to send another adjuster since the first one didn't do "a good job".
Now over two months have passed and there was zero communications ever since. The 2nd adjuster never came either. I'm not seeking an outsized damage reimbursement but just a fair price to pay for the repair. I've asked the company to hire a qualified 3rd party to do the job instead of sending a check to me. Nothing happened. This is not a company you want to work with.

I'm a licensed insurance agent. I work with many companies, many offer assistance thru Chats.very helpful when you are multi-tasking. However many company Chats leave me feeling like I got no where. I recently used Bankers Flood Chat to update a few policies. Both times the rep was friendly, helpful and most importantly handled my concern with one chat. My last chat was with Frank, he was amazing.to all the reps handling Bankers Chat, keep doing what you are doing, we appreciate you.

I sustained some damage to my home. I contacted Bankers to submit a claim. It was a professional, easy and very fast process. My Claim was submitted over the phone, an adjuster contacted me, scheduled an on site visit, complete the necessary paperwork and shortly after I receive a check in the mail. This is my First time doing this and I really appreciate the simplicity of the entire process.

Every time I have approached them for help, they have been more than respectful, considerate, and willing to assist with anything that they can.
