HFHP is not paying nor approving bills as in the past. Something has changed starting 2022. Calling the Customer Care team does not get issues resolved. It just takes untold time and they just state write an appeal. They have no authority to make corrective action. They cannot or will not escalate the issue to a supervisor or billing payables person. What a frustrating situation. I need help and cannot get it.

Healthfirst is a joke. There is no customer service number on their card. Calling the one listed in google takes 14 pushes to get to a person and then it is not correct. The person gives you another number and that is useless also. The insurance is supposed to be Healthfirst, but it is administered by Oscar and you get a bill from Atena. I have had coverage with them for 10 years and everything changed in 2022. Stay away from Healthfirst. You will only regret it if you do not.

I've been with Health first Health plan since 2016 and always highly recommended them until this year. Now that they've joined with OSCAR, it's a complete nightmare. Your "Care Team" are a bunch of uneducated, untrained, unprofessional people who could not care less about you or your medical issues or their jobs for that matter. They work from home and will hang up on you or you can't hear them over the loud screams of their kids.
That's just the customer service issues. The billing and business end is just as bad if not worse. You've met your deductible? Oh well the website doesn't show that so you have to pay anyways. You've met your out-of-pocket? Oh well that hasn't fully processed even though it's been 2 months so you still have to pay. Never had to deal with anything like this before they joined Oscar and I no longer recommend them to anyone.

Have had my Medicare Advantage plan with Health First for over 10 years. Not pleased with their new plan under Oscar. My Dentist is not included in their list of providers, the debit card they issued in 2021 was accepted by my Dentist and was much better. They should have left that alone. The vision plan with Davis Vision is worse. The Optometrist in our local Wal-Mart is a provider, but the eyeglass dept is not in the plan, they are in the same space!
I went to Davis Vision website and Wal-Mart as well as Costco and Sam's Club are listed. I called Health First and they told me none of those are in the plan. My Optometrist doesn't sell glasses, so I have to search all over to find a place that will fill the prescription who takes Health First/Davis. Very frustrating! UPATE: After numerous phone calls to Health First, Wal Mart and several of the other Opticians I contacted are now accepted under the Davis Vision Plan.
I found out after contacting the businesses myself, and even they were surprised that they were suddenly included in the plan. Don't think this would have happened if I hadn't pushed the issue and made Health First aware of the problem.

I have had Health First Insurance since I moved to Florida in 2015. I have been extremely impressed by the coverage and the doctors that are associated with Health First. The premiums are competitive and changes they have made recently have made it more user-friendly for those of us that like the convenience of smartphones.

I have been with Health First since 2010. Health First made a horrible decision to join OSCAR in 2022. I have had to change doctors and dentist which aren't in the new networks and aren't interested in joining. Hours on the phone getting information not included in my package( they are sending it out). Pharmacy issues, and problems getting my insulin pump supplies from Medtronic.
Supposed to get $1000 towards dental but no crowns, partials or dentures. OTC debit card is also a, quoting another review, fiasco. It's not about providing care, it's about making money. Shop around before joining Health First. They used to be an excellent group, but no longer.

A clerical error of some sort set our insurance to expire in october, although our bill continues to get paid.last payment was over $3K. We were never notified of expiration. Come December when we have doctors appointments and rx's to fill, our insurance is not working and we have been calling LITERALLY ALL DAY and have not gotten through to ANYONE.
I have been on hold for over 4 hours. My husband has been on hold for over 4 hours. We've tried calling any number we can find. I've emailed. sent messages over social media. NOTHING. Please tell me what are we supposed to do at this point?

I am ending a 30 year. Connection with this ins. Because of fraudulent changes and GREED! I was inpatient June/21. When I got my bill, I made a payment and have been making payments each month. Last month I was turned over to a COLLECTION AGENCY BECAUSE I didn't agree to their payment terms. I live on SSI, the bill was $270.! I have never missed a month.! The CARE WAS DEPLORABLE!

Critical: Quality, Value Called to add my baby to insurance plan and they told me it was too late. Told me only 30days and almost all insurances you have 60days. I was sadly disappointed they did not make an exception. I called before 60days and they were not understanding of my situation and now I'm going to have to find new insurance for my baby. Sad.
