Normally we like to do business with local Ohio companies but Western Reserve has been horrible in denying a claim for my 90 year old father in law. As an honored veteran, he deserves to be treated with respect but instead they have continually put up road blocks during this process. No doubt I would never recommend anyone to do business with this company. We have filed a complaint with the Ohio Department of Insurance and will continue to fight for his rights just like he fought for the freedom of our country.

Only using 1 star because I cannot give them a zero. Using Western Reserve for homeowners insurance and have been for around 7 years now. Had to submit my first claim due to roof damage that caused ceiling to collapse from rain. Heaven forbid you have to talk to someone within this company, they do not exist. They don't even send an 'adjuster' out to survey the damages.
They use an app and photos, then give you the bare minimum that doesn't even cover 1/2 the damages. No adjustments for inflation on materials, literally every deduction in the book off the minimum for repairs. Also submitted for personal property damages and that also has not been included. Hands down 1st and worst insurance claim ever. I have yet to get a call or email back since documents were submitted about a month ago. Customer service and customer satisfaction does not exist here.

Didn't want to rate them at all! Driver's license is clean. Had one wreck and got a letter in the mail they're dropping me. Cool! I have 2 vehicles with full coverage on both. Gladly take my money somewhere else and I would STRONGLY advise any and everybody else to do the same. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOU WILL REGRET IT! GUARANTEED FACTS!

This has to be the WORST INSURANCE SCAM GOING! My vehicle was vandalized, it took almost a week to hear from an adjuster, then after finally receiving a phone call trying to cover bare minimum, when I have been a loyal customer paying HEFTY PREMIUMS for what I thought was good coverage. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY! Also stay posted for a updated review after the Lawsuit is filed.
In addition to being a horrible company, they have horrible customer service Mathew Sells: AVP Auto Property Claims as Well as Vonda should receive the Most Horrible Customer Service Award! Complete details of this entire event from start to finish will be published tomorrow afternoon. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Had homeowners insurance through this company for years. Never had to file a claim until recently. Filed in October for a leak that caused my ceiling to collapse. Didn't process claim until December then replaced roof but didn't pay for ceiling to be repaired or gutters fixed. Want their premium in a timely manner though. Not happy with their service. Changed insurance company

Critical: Professionalism I have been with Western Reserve 15 years for my homeowners policy. Never filed a claim I had wind and hail damage on my policy. The wind damaged my roof so I filed a claim. Told me that roof wasn't nailed down right. Not going to help you out. Definitely getting rid this insurance company

I have had auto insurance for over 9 years (2 cars) and and home insurance since 2018. I have had no problems for auto accident claim (car totaled) and also a basement water leak for my home insurance. Both times the adjusters were responsive and and communicated promptly. Their rates are the most affordable.

This company insures the landlord that almost killed my bf, my cat, and myself with a CO monoxide leak due to his negligence in keeping his property up to health and safety codes. Their response to our complain was "Well did you inspect the unit yourself?" I am not a plumber. I do not know how a water heater is supposed to be installed and vented.
And it is my landlord's responsibility to ensure that his property is in a safe and habitable condition. These people are just as crooked as my penny pinching landlord. I have photo proof of the improper install and maintenance of the water heater as well as the improper ventilation system used. These people do not care that they could have killed people. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I've had these folks for my car and home/renter's insurance for something like 25 years. I've had a few claims over the years, most recently hitting a deer. Every time, they've been fast and friendly, and I've been pleasantly surprised by how things were resolved. Prices are middle of the pack, not super cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Coverage seems pretty standard. Every year or so we review our plans, and end up staying with them. Insurance is never fun, or cheap, but it's a necessity, and when you have an accident it's nice to know that things will get taken care of.
