Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value The insurance rep will verbally quote you one thing, make you pay, then send you a completely different, more expensive quote, then keep your money when you cancel them. They are a middle-man broker who charge more than if you went directly to a company. They are unprofessional and shady. I highly recommend going elsewhere for insurance.

Reed Heslop has been my agent for years. I have two houses, two cars, and two motorcycles on my policy. Even combined, the rates are so low that I don't even notice the payments when they withdraw from my account. I always get immediate and full responses from Reed, the consistency of having one continuous point of contact is reassuring.

This has been the worst insurance company I have EVER WORKED WITH! First off it took 3 days to get a quote for 2 cars and renters insurance. Once I was set up it took 2 months just for the ACH payments to start coming out. They messed up on the amounts that they were suppose to take.then 3 moths later I changed the ACH account and that took another 3 months and they kept taking money from the original account and overdrawing it.
I added a travel travel trailer and it was like pulling teeth to pay the full premium. Once my year was up on the other insurance's they raised my rates by 45.00 a month. I'm guessing to get rid of me since i was calling them all the time. So I called the Layton branch since they had better reviews and what a difference it was. Lindsey and Fred were awesome to deal with unfortunately I wasn't able to switch since I was a customer at the Ogden branch WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE OGDEN BRANCH.
I was told to call Shawn the manager at Odgen to see if I could switch. So I left 3 messages over a week's time with no call back. The customer service at the Heiner's in Ogden is horrible. If I could go back in time I would have called the Layton branch.

This experience with hiners has been one screw up after another. It all started when they couldn't get my address correct. I called at least 3 times to have it corrected and I still get random incorrectly addressed letters for my auto policy after they were returned to sender. Then came the issues with getting The lienholders added to one of my cars.
I have my bank harassing me because they weren't added and again I had to call three or four times to get it corrected. I have four cars, a trailer, and the house insured through this organization. You would think they would want to keep my business. Then there was the time that I switched bank accounts for my insurance premium to be withdrawn from. (got rid of WF after the refi on my house) I did it like two weeks in advance. Nope!
Still took it from the incorrect account and got overdraft fees. After calling three or four times and being told it would be put back in the account, then it would be sent as a check, called about a month later to find out "oh, they applied it to my premium" But here is the final straw. I own two Land Rovers and at the very beginning when I had this policy started I SPECIFICALLY asked for "free glass replacement" on mine.
I wasn't concerned with how much it would cost. Land rover windshields are super expensive. My wife ALSO spoke to them and requested the free glass replacement when we bought hers shortly after. The agent led both of us to believe, both times, that we had "free glass replacement". The LR3 windshield was hit with a rock on the freeway the other day and there's a crack all the way across and I'm thinking "thank goodness I have free glass replacement" made the phone call to our agent to find out that there's a $500 deductible.
That is not free glass replacement. My agent told me that the auto policy doesn't do free glass replacement but other companies do. Why wouldn't they tell me that in the very beginning when that was the first thing that I asked for? Whatever the case if you don't have to go through this third-party middleman to get your insurance I would highly suggest you don't.
The sign out front is super catchy and all that but the service inside leaves something to be desired. Maybe it was just my particular agent. Four out of five times that you call you can't seem to catch her in the office. I am currently still with Hiners until I can find time to switch it. Maybe they will read this review and make it right? I doubt it though, they never seem to want to be held accountable for anything.

Hours are wrong on Google account, please update. Caused a big waste of time trying to get you a payment by taking off work early to stop by the bank. Arrived at your office at 5:02 pm to find a locked door and a rude employee with no apology. Your hours here say you are open until 5:30 pm. Then had to take off work another hour + the following morning so I could drop off the payment. Multiple people who have worked on my policy messed up information and have delayed getting my policy efficiently. Not a pleasant experience for a new customer.
