Mott Agency was founded in the late 1970s by Alan and Ann Mott with a simple goal: To make marine insurance available and affordable for all Long Island boat owners. As business grew, so did their family and eventually the children came aboard. Through the years daughter Kathy and son Tommy learned how to steer the ship and by the 1990s proudly took the helm as proprietors.

Tommy Mott joined his family's business in 1993 and has been selling all forms of Marine Insurance for 23 years. He grew up boating and fishing in Montauk and other parts of the Long Island Sound, so this career path was a natural fit. In his free time you might find him snowboarding, fishing, hunting or trying just about anything else having to do with the great outdoors.
