I recently used the Milner Group for several cases. While I thought that Kandi Williams was capable and helpful, I was very unimpressed by the other staff members. First, I did not find that they were very proactive in processing my cases with the carriers. I had to continually request updates related to medical records and interviews. Most agents understand the need to expedite records, etc., to help ensure that nothing occurs that would impact underwriting and result in an adverse decision. Secondly, I found some of the staff--specifically Lisa Crabtree and Susan Hughes--rude, condescending, and unpleasant.
I would not recommend the Milner Group for agents seeking to place business. There are many professional and capable brokerages from which to choose for our clients. This is in response to the Milner Group's comments. I also worked extremely diligently for the brokerage, bringing in numerous cases over a short period of time. My comments still stand, especially with regard to specific staff members and their condescending and disrespectful attitude toward me.
I strongly suggest that these staff members learn how to behave toward producers in the field who are hard-working and who are doing their best to ensure that both they and their clients receive excellent service, especially when these clients need to protect their families and finances with life or long-term care insurance. I know that my hundreds of clients in four different states appreciate my efforts for them. Again, I would never recommend the Milner Group as a brokerage for producers.

This business is going downhill each generation. I've learned over time to not associate with a business that is 3rd generation or more. The second generation seems to take it to a new level, but from there the qualify, character start to suffer. Shane Milner is a smooth young man, but he's better off selling this business than trying to maintain it. There are some missing screws with the details and that's starting to affect customers.
