I have to give 1/5 stars because they simply would not provide a quote for me on a fantastic 6 unit building. They turned me down despite offering to transition my other 5 multifamily policies to them. It's hard not be be disappointed in a business that cares more about ensuring they never have a single claim than providing a service for local businessmen.

I signed up with Halstead about 10 years ago. If you prefer agents who don't do anything over 10 years, after the first time they talk with you, then this is the place to go. They would just send the paperwork each year for renewal. Turns out my policy changed over the years and if I could have decoded the legal words myself then I would have known.
They weren't about to call and let me know or even check in on faithful customers to have a personal conversation to make sure my policy still met my needs. Just take the pay and stay away.
