The B. Titus Rutt Insurance Agency, Inc. opened its doors to the residents of Mount Joy in 1935. Originally founded by Benjamin Titus Rutt, the company is now operated by Jamie Rutt, the grandson to Titus. B. Titus Rutt worked as Orchard Manager for Milton Hershey in the early 1930's. It was during this time, Titus began selling insurance from his home to help supplement his orchard income for his growing family of six. In 1935, Titus started a full-time in the insurance business, and moved his family to the Mount Joy area.

What is auto insurance? Auto insurance protects you against financial loss if you have an accident. It is a contract between you and your insurance company. You agree to pay the premium and the insurance company agrees to pay your losses as defined in your policy. Auto insurance can provide liability coverage, medical coverage, coverage for physical damage to your vehicle, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, rental reimbursement, work loss, accidental death and many other coverage options.
As a business owner, you need the same kinds of insurance coverages for the car you use in your business as you do for a car used for personal travel -- liability, collision and comprehensive, medical payments (known as personal injury protection in some states) and coverage for uninsured motorists.

Switched a number of years ago and could be happier. I have saved significantly on my home and auto insurance policies and actually have more coverage. I'm not sure why I waited so long. Plus I like patronizing a local family company rather than my old national company which I see regularly blowing millions of dollars on television advertising (no wonder they charge so much!)
