The Ostrove family has been in the insurance business since 1955. Jim Ostrove, upon moving to the Danbury, Connecticut area, joined MetLife in 1988. While there, he enjoyed a career as one of the top Account Representatives and then as Branch Manager of the local Danbury office. In 1998, Jim started Northern Fairfield Insurance after realizing that the only way to meet the insurance needs of his clients and remain competitive was to offer products through many different insurance companies, something that can only be done as an independent agent.

He provided me the best possible combined auto and home insurance policy at very fair price. He is very responsive to my insurance needs. Not sure where the hell my original review went! James Ostrove is a one of the guys. Not a typical Insurance Salesmen that I would assimilate to a used car salesman. I come from a family of many of them who practice all type. I am a business owner and a Volunteer Fireman and Jim took care of me from start to finish. Like anyone in business we are only as good as our help, communication and follow ups. James has an outstanding team and never left me out in the cold.
He is just like me in following up which really makes being a customer a lot easier. I am on my second deal with him and hopefully more to come. Five Star service that won't leave you needing to take out a loan.

I have been with Jim for so many years now I can remember when we started. But he is a great agent. He is always on top of my policies. He lets me know if and when I should change to different carrier to save me money. Any time I have asked him for anything related to policy or for any help with documents. He right on it and I get whatever I need from him almost immediately.
He is always there for us. My son also uses Jim for his insurance needs. I have even contacted him on a weekend and he is always happy to help me. He has never said to me "Mike it is the weekend call the office on Monday". He is the best as far as I am concerned. There have been times when he has told me Mike you might be able to do better with a different carrier because even though he represents a lot of different carries, sometimes they might not be the best for me. That makes me have a lot of respect for him. It isn't about the money for JIm. He always has the best interest of his clients when it comes to business. Michael Andros
