We have been with Fortner for at least 10 years. The insurance increases every year, so last year I talked to the agent about switching to another company. He advised he didn't think it would make any difference and sounded to me as if he just didn't want to go to the trouble to do that. This year I am calling and checking other agencies to see if I get a better response.

I called in to my agent Karla a couple weeks ago and requested that we put full coverage on a truck that I was trying to rent for the weekend. She called me back explaining that since it was a flatbed the underwriters would not put full coverage on it considering that it was a commercial vehicle. I had big plans for memorial weekend to haul our camper back home and if I didn't get this vehicle insured my plans would have been spoiled.
After putting more effort into it She called me back and said that she was able to get the underwriter to cover my truck that I was renting. Very pleased with her and her efforts!

I had been with Fortner Insurance well over 10 years and always received excellent service, and they were always quick to communicate policy changes quickly. until recently. I encountered more than a few issues in the last couple of months, but like I expressed previously, I was always happy and chose to overlook this as just happenstance, since they were always friend and helpful. However, the last issue was my breaking point.
My auto-pay was not set up, to which I was told by a Fortner staff member that it was the insurance companies error, but when I received my policy for the next 6 months, sure enough there was a late fee, and when I inquired about it, I was told our payment was late. I then let the insurance company know that I was told this was their error, and they told me it wasn't their error at all, they never received any communication regarding auto pay, so I was lied to.
Not to mention the bill was incredibly high. I shopped around and found both auto and home policies with the same coverage, but saving me $1800.00 a year. When I called Fortner and spoke with the staff member that was handling my accounts and terminated my policies with them, she never once expressed that she was sorry that she lost our business, neither by phone, or email. Business they had for over 10 years that was always paid and on time, which told me I made the right choice to move to another company.

Our account was sold to Fortner by another agency. We had always been pleased with the former company. but somewhat concerned about the sale. Met with the Fortner staff for a "long" hour. Left feeling quite pleased with the staff. Every need since has been quickly answered. Highly recommend Fortner.
