Wow! What can I say, I've been with Tri-Star for several years now working with Karen Alfaro, she's an absolute super star! As a rep, she's efficient, friendly, and an absolute joy to work with. Karen always manages to get my family and I the best of deals, while providing us with professional service, if you are not satisfied she listens and is able to provide you with alternate solutions.

I can't believe the customer service from Octavio, it's not hard yet so hard to come by in today's world. On top of a bad record I also needed rideshare coverage and Octavio was able to help me get a better policy at a better price then the last time I called him up! He also got me a awesome home insurance policy last year when I bought a condo! The $80 broker fee I paid was well worth the $96 dollars a month I saved on my auto insurance and I was back on the road within hours!

I have worked with Diana from The Insurance Place numerous times for insurance needs--auto, home, earthquake--she has always been prompt, thorough, polite, and helpful. Other staff that I have contacted have also been very responsive and care about the customer. I highly recommend Diana and the company.

My mom started with this place and once I became a car owner I started coming here too! Ambra is soooooo nice and helpful! It's my first time financing a vehicle and I had no clue what a deductible or full coverage even meant but she walked me through it thankfully! I've never had any problems here:

Well I'm totally impressed, yeah brokers fees but guess what.? That's what happens when you go though a BROKER! Anyway Octavio was LA BOMBA! Could not get a Dec. page from AAA to start my mercury policy to save our lives, even after 30 calls combined. He either picked up or called back within minutes of me calling. Octavio stayed after hours helping me get the docs I needed to start my policy and was a total gentleman about it even though the process was a major pain in the ass. Best customer service I've seen in a long time. I give it 5 stars

I just want to give a great big shout-out to John and Octovio here at the best insurance company around. I'm an actual client and I've been happily for 16 years. back when it was a little office in downtown Carlsbad Village. anyway they processed my insurance claim within two weeks I was in a beautiful car. so professional so prompt always returning phone calls thanks again John and Octovio! Do not come here. The reps appear friendly and helpful but they will include a HIGH broker fee into your insurance premium. I finally left this place after 2 years with them and Mercury. THEY WOULD AUTO RENEW my plan without notifying me because I was on auto payment so by the time I wanted to cancel it, it was too late. I despise places that have no integrity like this one.
I am now with wawanessa and they are offering me a BETTER premium compared to what I received from here. Way more affordable - almost half the cost! Never again will I come back. Stay away from this place.

Horrible experience. Horrible communication. Customer Service Representative's (CSR) are incompetent. My daughter was going to college in another state and we wanted to exclude her from the policy. They did exclude her AND they cancelled the coverage on the vehicle she had been driving. I only noticed when we received our next dec page and it was missing.
We had been driving without coverage for 10 days. I specifically told the CSR that she would be commuting to school by bike and the truck was not going with her! When she returned from college we wanted to add her and was told since we had another daughter on the policy that there wouldn't be an increase in premium. Which I didn't believe, apparently they thought that my daughter, who was returning from college, had a learners permit and was not yet 16!
The premium doubled. There were other issues. When we called to discuss the issues all we received was excuses and no apology. We wanted to give the agency one more chance and asked them to get quotes from other companies they represent, we were told that they could do that and the agent would be calling us back. 10 days later we are still waiting for the call, we have a new policy in place, with another carrier, which will start when this policy lapses.
We figured we would be better off letting the policy lapse, rather then ask the Agency to cancel it on a specific date in the future (2weeks in the future) for fear they would cancel it immediately and we wouldn't be covered for those 2 weeks. Use them at your own peril!
