Two days after I paid my policy in full they cancelled it! In the early days of the pandemic! I begged them to extend the cancellation so I could have a few shingles replaced on my roof (that they were complaining about); they refused saying I needed to show them a contract to replace the entire roof! My roof isn't that old, and doesn't need replacing.
I have a guy replace a few shingles every year. The wind here is awful, but I don't need a new roof. To make matters worse, when they "refunded" my premium, they deducted a whole bunch of charges from the refund. I'd say that's pretty dishonest of them. TLDR They cancelled my policy during the pandemic and then deducted a bunch of fees from my refund. Would you trust an insurance company that does business like this?

Signed up with Geico and was somehow assigned to arrowhead exchange. Initial sign up process went smooth and the agent I worked with was great. There was an issue with an update to documents needed by my mortgage company regarding my home policy and that's when things fell apart. I tried calling for over a week and not only do they not answer, but after 4-5 rings the call goes to voicemail.
I don't mind leaving a vm but the box is always full. I assume that means they don't check messages and it's not important enough for them to do something about it. On boarding a new customer is important but continuing to service them is even more so as policies are renewed. Looks like I will be shopping around again soon.
