It all started over a century ago in 1916 in Plymouth, Michigan. Charles L. Finlan, our founder and namesake, established the C.L. Finlan & Son Insurance Agency - the second to be appointed in the state of Michigan by Citizens Mutual of Howell. Truly a man of his time, he built his business upon the belief that purchasing insurance should be an accessible rather than intimidating process, that agencies should evolve in tandem with society in terms of capability, and that our foremost responsibility is to the people we serve.

As I get older and life gets busy, I appreciate more and more, the individuals in my life who are knowledgeable, diligent, and honest. Trevor Justice at C.L. Finland, has been all of those things and helped me navigate all my insurance needs. Whenever I have questions about my policy or if I should change my coverage, he is thorough in explaining my options, what the costs and benefits would be, and what he thinks the best course of action is based on my needs. My father has cognitive decline. Kelly Jenkins has been so helpful quickly updating his policies with my power of attorney. She's helped make the process smooth and easy, and she's been very informative. It's been a challenging time with so many pieces to navigate. Great experience! My agent Kelly Kenkins did a wonderful job getting me a great rate for my car insurance. I'm 72 and I've had several agents with various companies, however Kelly got rid of things that I don't need even though that resulted in a much lower commission for her. C.L Finlan also responds quickly on any claims.

I have been insured with Finlan for over 20 years. I have always received the utmost respect and assistance from them. They have never made me feel uncomfortable with some of my "silly" questions. I recently did a complete rewrite on a homeowners policy. Debbie Zambramski was so patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful in finding the "special discounts" and advising me the best way to insure my home. I can't say enough about her or her agency.
