The rep Tristan that I worked with was freaking awesome! He laid out many options for me and was very detailed in his explanations of what each plan would get me. He did not try to up-sell me, he was very honest about what he thought I might need and what I would not need in order to get me the most bang for my buck. He made my transition from PEMCO very easy and painless.

I called Boyd Insurance because they are a broker for several companies. I have an excellent driving record. One ticket in 1982 and no accidents. I am 66 and have been driving since I was 16. I was sold way too much insurance for my needs. No discount for my excellent driving record. I then was contacted by PEMCO and they were honest with me. They cut my insurance premium by more than half.

I cancelled the Boyd Insurance through Travelers the next day. My refund from a payment of over $165.00 was around $95.00. For one day of insurance! Makes me furious. As with so many companies now days, its buyer beware and do your own research!

I have been with Boyd Insurance for almost 15 years now and have had to file 2 claims for my house. One of the claims was problematic and when I brought the issues up to Boyd Insurance, they contacted the insurance company and resolved the issue immediately. When I recently married my husband and we melded our childrens' car insurance under Boyd, my husband's rates dropped by over $500 in 6 months. I am very very happy with Boyd.

We've been a customer for many years of Boyd. This year the CEO sent out a newsletter, that was in such bad taste and unprofessional that I had to call and confirm that the letter was real. I wish I could figure out how to post the letter. I can't decide which part of the letter leaves me more speechless but the bottom line is that we are looking for a new broker.

Bill Boyd, this was a huge error in judgement. If you choose to respond as you did to another customer, know that women use pseudonyms online for protection. Perhaps your "trophy wife" would be able to explain it to you.

Moving states can be a hassle. Not knowing where to go and who to talk to when switching your whole life is scary. I was recommended to Boyd Insurance Brokerage and I have never been happier. Everyone at Boyd Insurance Brokerage is awesome. They're super helpful and courteous. They helped me insure all my vehicles and my valuables in my apartment. I would highly recommend Boyd Insurance Brokerage to anyone.

Those reviewers "piers" must all just put good reviews for each other's business. As a customer, I can tell you I have had a terrible experience. Continually, increasing the cost of my insurance, and other difficulties since purchasing our home. When I have expressed my grievances I basically got a "so what". Not helpful, not nice, and thank goodness I have never had to actually utilize their services.

I fear what it would be like if I did need to rely on them to actually cover a claim. Hopefully, will be changing insurance companies soon. Save yourself a lot of grief and find another company to handle your insurance.

Not an advocate for his insureds. Alot of lip service & does not shop around without you threatening to leave. You can do better elsewhere.

In all honesty I am a first time homeowner; so I may require a little bit more explanation about things. I most definitely require good communication. The people that I spoke with at Boyd Insurance most notably Bill Boyd himself were quite rude and difficult to work with. They raised my insurance rate by $300 dollars because of a previous theft claim.

Which in itself is understandable. One has a previous claim they pay a higher premium - I get that. They raised it however, after it had been locked in with my loan providers. They sent me a bill in the mail that apparently should never had been sent to me. They did not contact me back when this issue was being dealt with. Overall, just really unhappy with this agency.

I guess that is what I get when I am going for the cheapest insurance option. Switched over to State Farm and am having a much better experience, and it is actually a cheaper option than Boyd. If your looking for homeowners insurance, save yourself some heartache and look elsewhere.

Bill is leader among his piers and one of the most knowledgeable insurance brokers I know. He helps his clients understand their insurance needs and works with them to develop comprehensive plan to meet those needs.
