Barry is a life-long Northlander, a graduate of North Kansas City High School, and earned his bachelor's in Business Administration, Marketing from Missouri Western State University. After college, Barry had an interview scheduled with an insurance company and went to Pat James for insurance industry advice.
Homeowners insurance and renters insurance policies differ by which losses are covered, which coverage you choose, and what type of residence you own. You choose which policy is best for you from a basic form to special form and even all-risk coverage. Other structure coverage is for sheds, detached garages, fences or other structures on the property which are not attached to the house.
Business insurance provides protection in the event of liability arising from business activity on the premises, completed operations, product liability and advertising injury. A business insurance policy that packages property and liability coverage as well as several options for a much lower price than when purchased separately. This is reserved for businesses with an insurance history and limited exposure.

I first spoke with Lauren Akins at Jenkins & James upon relocating to Kansas City. I sought to purchase renter's insurance and to update my auto policy to reflect my new address on the Missouri side. I have Barry and his staff handle insurance for both my businesses. They also cover several of my personal insurance needs as well.
