Services
Also known as Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance, this is a form of insurance to protect insured and client alike from damages which occur due to actual or alleged errors or omissions. When looking at this coverage for your firm, there are many considerations but here are a few. Check what is not covered.
Two options include Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) with coverage for design (excluded in general liability policies) and bodily injury/property damage (first exclusion in most MPL policies is BI/PD). Architects & Engineers Professional Liability (A&E), which extends the coverage to include professional services requiring the additional licensure/services.
Contractors, consultants, engineers, all can contribute to the design, choice of materials, inspections and FCIA has addressed professional liability needs for their membership. Two Options include Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL), which fills in the gap in most commercial general liability policies which exclude design work, but without the additional cost which comes with providing engineering services.
Whether you are a professional roofing contractor or a full-time consultant, have engineers on staff or use outside engineers, if you are involved in the design, choosing of materials, you need professional liability insurance. Two Options include Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) with coverage for design (excluded in general liability policies) and bodily injury/property damage (first exclusion in most MPL policies is BI/PD).

They reached out to me in some marketing and all seemed fine. Then my policy was cancelled by a senior underwriter? What ever that means. Then they took forever to get a check and they charged me a late fee? I paid on time and never had insurance with them previously. Finally got my boat insurance through Geico for less money.
