I have been insured with Erie through Smallwood & Small for more than 20 years. Their customer support is outstanding. My current agent contact, Tanya, is efficient, polite, and professional. I can't imagine meeting our insurance needs through any other agency.

We transferred to this company when we bought our house 3 years ago. Trust me we shopped around and could not beat the prices they gave us. my car insurance being full coverage alone went down $100. Not to mention the deals we got on homeowners insurance. I'm from the Eastern Panhandle and have always had Smallwood & Small for my car insurance. For the past couple of years, I've been living in Morgantown, but maintained my insurance through them. Recently, I bought a house in Morgantown and, while they usually don't insure houses this far out of their area, they worked diligently with me to make sure that I had affordable homeowners insurance. Katie Gay has worked so hard with me and has been a wealth of information through this whole process.

Her and the folks at Smallwood & Small have always done right by me! She even sent my roommate (who is also insured through them) a get well soon card after she contracted COVID. She's super professional and an all around great person!

They saved me about half of what I was paying in premiums with my previous insurance company, with the same coverage on both auto and home. My agent, Katie Gay, made the transition very easy, all over the phone. Katie is so pleasant and patient, and such a pleasure to work with. My only regret is, having done everything over the phone, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful lady in person.

Almost half the cost for home owners insurance on my new place with bundling my auto with their office. The car insurance is almost the same as state farm who I've been with for years. Katie Gay is kind, responsive, and provides great customer service. She even activated my policy when their office was closed so that on the day I closed my auto. insurance took effect and I could cancel my existing policy!

I like that their policies are for 12 months instead of six like most so you know your rate won't change for at least a minimum of a year. You can auto pay over twelve months or be billed for nine months pay a little bit more but not pay insurance then for 3 months since you pay your total premium when manually billed in a 9 month period! Looking forward to my journey with Erie. They also provide life insurance!

My husband recently had an accident on his way home from work. The police were not able to get there and they told him to just exchange information. I called Katie and she walked me through what to do and she followed up with us that night, the next morning to check on him and then a few days after that to see if she could be of assistance. Her commitment and follow through was wonderful!

I called and spent 5 minutes on the phone and my car insurance rates were cut in half! I had been with Allstate for years and called other places like Geico, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, etc. All of them offered similar rates so I was sure that was the best rate I could get. We had initially inquired with this agency about both auto and homeowners insurance and had decided to only pursue homeowners with them. When it came time to lock in, they wanted to hassle us about the age of our roof, which theoretically still has 4 years of scheduled life left and 3 experts have looked at it and can't cite any deficiencies besides being dated.

Then they wanted to give us a 10K deductible. Gee, I wonder if their office can substantiate that every WV insured's roof isn't over 30 years old? We've never had any agency or insurer cite anything about the circumstantial age of any roof we've owned. They even have Melody Ward (their employee) giving feedback on here boasting their feedback. I say AVOID this agency!

I've been with this insurance co. for over 7 years now. My grandfather, and stepfather both used them for business / car / home insurance. If you go in person to talk, they will work with you on prices (car insurance). They are a smaller company so it helps if you have a referral, as sometimes they are selective about who is chosen. I really like my agent, she is very patient with my questions, and is always honest about what is actually on my policy. I will say the sign up process is a bit longer than other call-in agencies, but i feel its is worth it!
