Durfey-Hoover-Bowden Insurance

I have been with Duffrey-Hoover-Bowden for a little over 13 years. This includes home and auto insurance. The people here are amazing and have always take care of all my questions immediately. The service has a family feel to it. I have been working with Mike the entire time. He has helped me compare rates and helped me personalize my insurance for my family.

I have been able to call him direct with any issues. Thanks DHB and Mike, we always appreciate your amazing commitment to your customers and for giving me a good laugh as well.

Fantastic customer service and value. I've had nothing but good experiences with Mike Bowden and the Durfey-Hoover-Bowden agency. Mike does a great job explaining my options and is always fast to respond to phone calls and emails.

For over 15 years, I relied on Durfey-Hoover-Bowden for all of my insurance needs. At one point we had 3 rental properties, 2 homes and 3 cars on our policy. Unfortunately, Travelers Insurance increased my rates mid-term with no explanation or notice. The first I learned of the rate change was after they sent me a bill for the rate change and a late service charge.

When I contacted the agency they offered a vague explanation and insisted that Travelers sent a prior invoice. Instead of trying to understand why I would be upset they chose to go into great detail as to why I was wrong. For 15 years I paid my bills in full, well in advance of the due date. Because of the poor service, I cancelled all of my insurance and moved it to USAA where I saved $487.05.

They also treated me like my business was valuable to them. A month later I received another bill from Travelers for $17 cancellation fee and $6 service charge. I guess that is their way of saying thanks for 15 years of loyalty.

We have used DHBI for a number of years for some of our business policies. Recently we had to add some additional coverages in fairly short order. Patty was incredible. Not only did she get something in place within a couple of days, but was so knowledgeable in the process. She suggested some things that I would never have even known to ask about. So impressed.

Mandi Baldwin has been great to work with. Super responsive and flexible as I have had to change over multiple vehicles and added my homeowners policy. They work with Erie and one of the best companies to save us money based on our family size and needs. Would recommend Durfey-Hoover-Bowden to any of my NC connections. Great work!
